Hunter - adamantite sharpening stone

So…I’m told the ‘crit bonus’ on adamantites works if you attach to both weapons they apply to your ranged even though the tooltip says melee…

the weight stones seem to just say crit but the sharpeners specifically say melee…i applied the sharpening stones and my ranged crit didn’t increase in my summary screen…what’s the correct info on this? hmm

The weightstones affect crit and wep damage, the sharpening stones only affect wep damage

so you can only use them if you have non edged weps? so…most hunters just don’t bother? what a wonky thing

No why would you not bother? What else would you use, mana oils?

Weapon damage affecting ranged, bug or not, is still a boon.

It’s still +12 damage per weapon to your bow, you just don’t get the crit bonus when using edged weapons.

The answer was in the question.

yeah, think if you want an weapon enchant, mana oil will help you.

A hunter shouldn’t be using the Adamantite sharpening stones, use the Fel Sharpening stones, it also gives +12 damage, no melee crit which isn’t relevant and tends to cost half the price of Adamantite version

Exactly this if using a sharp weapon.

On short fights (I have 2x daggers of mojo) I use 2x fel sharpening stones, on longer fights I use 1x sharpening and 1x mana oil to hopefully not need to pop a mana pot and use haste pot instead

Ohhhhhhhh i misunderstood I think. I THOUGHT this was meaning that on weightstones, “only’” the crit applied to range, but on sharpening neither applied. I tsounds like weight does BOTH while sharpening only does +bow damage…that’s still significant! thanks

Yes this is correct
