Hunter Ability Cooldowns vs Classic

As a Hunter class, in Classic WoW, Arcane shot and Aimed shot share a cooldown but this wasn’t the case in original vanilla wow, if it was, can you provide a resource that proves it was or if it wasn’t will there be any class changes in the future phases that fix this?

I was surprised too, honestly I don’t remember them sharing a cool down, but it has been a long time, i just thought it was me.

Yes, it was.

Haha? No. Where’s the logic there? “I assert this; prove I’m wrong.”

No. You’re the one making the claim, you find support for it.

Yes they did…lol any vanilla hunter remembers that.

Look up ANY vanilla WoW pvp video (usually ones uploaded by warcraftmovies are vanilla). Every arcane shot youll see their aim shot cd, any aim shot youll see their arcane shot cd. Its very simple to provide hard evidence.

Last night in guild chat we couldn’t even remember whether boats were supposed to ding when they pulled up to the dock. I don’t trust myself to remember other more complicated things.

How about freezing and scatter sharing a dr, which also didn’t exist for most of vanilla?

Between that and leeway, I love having my pvp challenges being both other players AND extra blizz handicaps

Nobody is going to play hunter with this garbage 15 yard leeway bs. Everyone re rolling mage, warr, rogue

Leeway isn’t that bad as far as I’m concerned. FD still being inconsistent with how long it takes to drop combat, however…

they shared CD

You must spent a lot of time doing dungeons and raids.

ive done a lot of pvp so far and its just as garbage as it was in vanilla. literally no difference. the only people complaining about it probably had bad PCs and internet back then, if you had a good rig and T1 you wouldnt even notice.

I don’t remember this either and I mained a hunter in vanilla.

I vividly remember as a night elf hunter just ruining mages by stealthing near flags in arathi basin, and then aimed, multi, arcane and autoshot all hitting in rapid succession just melting kids.

Then you remember wrong… They definitely shared a cooldown. It wasn’t until the 2.0 patch that they stopped sharing CDs with each other because they changed how aimed shot worked. Check wowhead and you’ll see in the old comments about it. Here’s an example:

" By holymann [on 2006/06/27](Patch 1.11.1)

Subject: “aimed shot has same cooldown as arcane shot"i was surprised when i got aimed shot that it cools down simultaneously with arcane shot. but it is one of the best hunter attacks. even as a lowbie, it can drain up to a third of an enemy’s life of the same level.”

They always shared a CD. there is a talent in the MM tree that reduces arcane shot CD seperate from aimed shot.
