Hunter’s camouflage talent

I was wondering how good is hunters camouflage compares to stealth. If a Hunter, a Druid, and a rogue are hiding in a BG base. Is the stealth the same or are they different in that a Hunter or Druid would be seen first before three rogue? I believe that hunters have a one minute time limit.

I haven’t found it any worse than Druids or Rogues in how much notice I get when passing near an NPC.

It’s identical aside from not being a toggle (has a limited duration) and healing you.

So then a night elf Hunter has a real advantage over the other hunters don’t they?

Yeah, can meld/camo in addition to feign/camo. Or they can camo, meld when camo runs out, camo when camo’s off CD.

I may have to try a night elf marksman out.

The time limit is the only difference I’ve noticed between camo and stealth. Things that can see through stealth can see through camo, but otherwise things don’t notice camo any differently than they notice stealth.

A Hunter, a Druid and a Rogue walk into a tavern…

Rogues have the beat stealth abilities. Druid stealth is only in Cat form unless you have the racial Night Elf ability (which is terrible). The Hunter Feign Death is handy when your pets have died but only a smidgen better than the Night Elf racial ability.
