“Best” is subjective. Elves are the most popular. All the lists show Blood Elves at number one, Night Elves as number two. Then after Humans and Orcs we see Void Elves.
And of course it is because we look the best in the clothes they make.

The anti-human bias in this game is so prevalent. We just want to live in peace and lead Azeroth (while generally being the good guys) yet everybody laughs at humans. Very messed up.
Nobody really cares about what other people play.
The ones that seem to get triggered over this are people who just hate themselves and cannot fathom the idea that other people don’t have the urgency to distance themselves from “being human” on a video game.
Just play what you enjoy and what you think is most appropiate for the character you’re playing really.

Meh, I asure you most of them are people who are depressed lol, don’t pay attention to them.
And usually it’s people playing elves, which literally are just humans with pointy ears. Just move on haha.
Btw since we’re on the topic of humans, we kinda need a hair update. We’re still stuck with 2010 era hair textures (both male and female) while other races have gotten to the year 2015.

Transmog looks best on Belfs, Void Elves also work if you’re Alliance.

I don’t care for the human female animations so I’ve never played one seriously but I do think its a bit funny when people criticize others who like to play them, saying its weird to play “a boring human just like real life” in a fantasy game…
I mean, right off the bat, who cares what other people like? But secondly, and more to the point… you really think earth humans go around pyroblasting people? WoW humans are nothing like any of us IRL. Its such a ridiculous suggestion!

It’ll never not be funny how Larian got salty that everyone was making a Male Human Fighter/Paladin instead of a Dragonborn Bard or whatever it is they were malding about.

Wierd, they must have forgotten that when they took away all of the good human racials.
In most of the fantasy genre, (WoW included) human “strength” comes from their adaptability, diplomatic abilities, and their ability to quickly reproduce. So, it makes sense.
True. My Rogue and Mage are both human, which is funny because they’re in my Warband. Mage is the only ranged I like now and my Rogue is my gathering alt.
All these races didn’t exist when I made that Rogue and race changed it to human and I made my mage human because it was meant to replace my Rogue.

Humans are not the best race since there is a higher population in elves.
High population is just a metric. I would argue that undead are popular because I see a lot of people with undead tattoos IRL. People are more likely to get a skeleton or the grim reaper or a zombie tattoo’d on them than they are an elf.
