Lifelong Night elf, yep - but i have tended to get more assitance from horde players than alliance.
Heck, one even toook time without laughing to explain why the moo moo guards in thunder bluff would be mean and chase my night elf kitty drood so long ago

most memorable was one orc i ran into in stonetalon. couldnt talk in game, but we took turns on pulls and cleared our respective quests there
