I find it very strange that the human race in Classic WoW never had the ability to roll as a hunter. I mean, they can literally play as every other class, except Druid, but don’t we humans IRL hunt animals?

Probably had something to do with the number of classes each other race could already be.
They didn’t want Humans to be ahead of everyone else in what they could do.
In every other RPG I’ve ever played they were the “jack of all trades” without being the best at everything, so I was a bit surprised too, until I sat and reasoned it out a little.

Human hunters and dwarf mages were planned to be in the game, but they were cut so that both factions would have the same amount of class/race combinations
hope after nax they go classic++ instead of tbc and loosen class restrictions, orc mage, troll warlock, tauren priest, undead hunter, human hunter, dwarf mage/lock, night elf mage, gnome priest etc.
i dont know if id like pally/sham on the alternate factions.
what would peoples thoughts on classic++, new content for classic inplace of tbc, dungeons, raids, etc. right now we have all the five mans only changes to them are .5 tier upgrade adding new monsters/events(45min strat).

Well Tauren can’t be rogues either which makes no sense because the Grimtotem are Tauren Rogues. And people say but Fury that’s because Tauren feels it’s dishonorable. Well then I say uh huh then why can’t they just go underground like Human Warlocks and Orc Warlocks do? We going to have Death Knights the sworn enemies of Horde and Alliance become part of their team but Tauren Rogue is a no? Come on.
They won’t.
“Classic +” is nebulous. No one knows what it is or what it should be and no matter how they do it, people will get angry with the changes and leave.
Classic is already losing people for other reasons, they don’t need to make it worse by pushing Classic in a different direction.
6 class only balance rule.
There is Human hunters npcs though.
Although i wonder why Gnomes never have the option to heal…
It’s definitely because of this. No race has access to more than 6 classes in Classic.
