Human heritage armor

Blizzard seems to have missed an opportunity to add human heritage armor in shadowlands incorporating lothar into the questline for it. Of course they still could do it before shadowlands ends. I think this would work perfectly: “Armor of the Crown’s Defender”

Rather than just being the plate armor of Lothar I think this works really well. This is the player character for the human campaign of wc1. From its’ appearance it is clear that it would work for nearly all classes humans can be

From the picture the page shows I really like the design of it. I also believe the human player character being known as the “Defender of the crown” would be really good. It would be similar in style to the dwarf heritage armor being that of a thane’s or “mountain king’s” armor.

Did we get basically human heritage armor in Draenor off the garrison?

Isn’t there a transmog for stormwind armor they released during WoD you can use for any type of armor?

Fairly sure it constitutes “heritage armor.” Especially since it’s named after the main human city.

That is just guard armor. it isn’t worthy to be heritage armor.

The same with the warfront armors not being heritage armor.

If we look at all the different sources for gear, humans have been covered twice atleast.

The WoD garrison set
And the other set that comes to mind is the warfront armor.

And if we look into it further, quite a few races have their armor, or something representative of it.

Human
Night elves
Highmountain
Dark Iron
Void elves
Nightborne
OG dwarves
Gnomes
Mag’ ar Orcs
Lightforged goats
Mechagnomes
undead have a set from warfronts
orcs have a set from warfronts
the zandalari trolls have theirs
the Kul tiran have theirs
the foxes have theirs
blood elves have theirs

i think Blizzard could make a case for saying everyone has theirs already with maybe the exceptions being old school trolls, worgen and goblins being the odd ones out in this case.

They may not be what you’d like them to be and may not have all came from the same source, but they kinda are already in game for the most part.

From what blizzard themselves have said in the past it is very much so that these are not considered the heritage armor sets of those races despite whatever players may think.

Blizzard has said they have plans to continue heritage armor for the remaining races. Although in shadowlands that has yet to happen.

I don’t put alot of stock in what they tell us from day to day.

when we asked about them continuing to do allied races this expac, they said something to the effect of " these races are from the afterlife and aren’t really compatible with our realm."

Ok, fair enough…until it’s time to release new pets and mounts.

Then it’s ok.

Do you have a source?

“We will continue to add in customization.”
“we will not be adding any new customization.”

It was said by Ion while doing a Twitch stream interview with Wowchakra on 14 May 2020. Wowhead did an article about it here:

Okay? It doesn’t say anything about some of the races who potentially already have them.

This is the extent of what was discussed, per the foot notes:

Heritage Armor

  • Heritage Armor will continue until all races have them.

  • They want to continue doing them in Shadowlands patches, usually in X.5 patches.

I don’t understand what you want. The person you quoted stated that Blizzard said they will do heritage sets for all races. Then you asked for a source. I knew they said it too so I linked the source.

What do the races that already have sets have anything to do with his point?

Well, firstly … I was responding to the OP and you interjected.

Secondly, they said:

I then asked for a source … which you feel you provided and has zero mention of what was being discussed.

I’d appreciate a source claiming Blizzard stated the armor I linked is not heritage armor, when it can be equipped to all forms of armor types (cloth, leather, mail, plate) … which all heritage armors can do.

Any armor that can be worn by multiple races is not Heritage Armor.

Yeah that’s what happens on a forum. Multiple people get to reply.

Anyways, this is his point:

Then he goes on to say that the warfront and garrison sets are not heritage armor:

Then you asked for a source… and I gave you a source… Ion said that EVERY race will get a heritage set.

So again… I’m not sure what you want.

Oh, I’m fully aware. Except usually when someone does, it has some sort of relevance to what’s being discussed. If you click the little arrow pointing up, you’d see the entirety of what was quoted to get context.

Where … does … it … say … the … armor … linked … is … not … heritage … armor?

AKA … a source? Thanks.

… are you really going this route? So even though Ion was very clear that every race is going to get a heritage set, you need it spelled out that armor that’s not a heritage set is not a heritage set?

Did the warfront armor come with it’s own backstory and is orc only? No? Then it’s not heritage armor. JHC

I really don’t like repeating myself, so I broke it down for you.

Do you have a flipping source of this? Jesus.

The warfront armor cannot be transmogged over every armor type.

The most accurate thing you’ve said.
