Huge decline in player numbers since p2

To be honest I predicted worse.

100%. Very noticeable on both my Alliance and Horde toons. Alliance, rightfully, decided to take action of the garbage phase 2 faction imbalance. I imagine horde will start leaving in droves once they realise there are no Alliance to kill and BG ques become increasingly long.

bgs are not same in retail, grind there is no different then doing world pvp

all part of classic experience, there is a lot faction and server imbalance, why you think cross realms became thing?

Yes, and you’re the only sane one.

It’s that episode of Twilight Zone.

Skeram has gotten to the point for those who were going to quit already quit. Just the hardcore guys left now, and while we’re here rocking it we don’t have a casual base to help us when it comes to having a healthy auction house.

Eventually even the hardcore will just stop playing

This sounds like you were soloing. Nobody solos on a PVP realm, unless they want to die over and over. You join a group to go anywhere. That is basic PVP strategy. Even I know that.

If you want to compare this to Vanilla, ONLY compare it to the first 2 weeks that Honor was live in Vanilla. Comparing it to any other time in Vanilla is dishonest.

What about the 2 weeks in Vanilla after Honor went live in Vanilla?

Forget the rest of Vanilla – it is not a fair comparison.

To those of you saying there is less people. There are, on your PVP servers, maybe. On pagle I see more and more low levels. When I talk to them they tell me they have switched to pve. That’s what allot of you said for them to do on the forums. Quit or roll PVE. Well here they are. I’ve friended a few and leveling alts with them. We still PVP, when we want to. Plenty of allied running around flagged as well. Soooooo keep it up. Keep telling people to roll PVE. I’m meeting lots of good people.

Nope, nothings different on my server.

Problem is… the people who rushed to 60 already have most of their gear and incentice to log other than for raids and maybe to Pvp, though that may be mostly pointless depending on your server…

And the more casual players who were still trying to level have now found playing on a pvp server to be basically impossible so theyre not logging either…

Add in 2-5 hour queues since layering was dropped and its not surprising at all that people arent logging in…

Who wants to wait 4 hours just to log and stare at a res timer…?

Sounds like a typical horde player, that needs 4 other people to quest with

Could be that vanillas just slow and boring.

There’s no pot of gold or chest of epics to plunder at 60 for a casual and even if you raid you can only roll over the one and abit raid instances once a week.

It might get better when the other phases hit and we at least get bgs but at this point I have more of an interest in Vulpera releasing on retail.

In about a week my guild went from 240 toons to 296 when I logged on yesterday morning. We’re mainly a leveling/dungeon guild atm working up to raiding once everyone is up to snuff. A lot of them are PvP refugees now that just want to be able to quest in peace and many of those said they like it here and have no desire to go back even after BG’s are released.

Someone on my buddy list whispered me today to see if I could help with Onyxia attunements. I haven’t played classic in weeks…

Horde on BB.

I was disappointed because some long time friends we all played with back in Vanilla announced to the guild today that “leveling at 46 is impossible due to banking and we are transferring to a PVE server”.
This upset everyone cause they are OG players and they are now feeling like they cannot level on a PvP server so they are leaving for PVE.
I am. OG going to explain why them having to do 5his sucks for everyone involved. It really is hard to do anything when Lights Hope Chappel is kept under enemy control including the flight path all day.
You can say we’ll go roll PVE server, but that is very inconvenient and not a good gaming experience to have to do it this way. I think some have even quit because of this bull.

The PVP servers are over crowded and even tho it’s a PVP server the tanking is out of control to the point where it’s hard to travel to anywhere and quests are that much more complicated to complete now. It’s no longer fun. BGs better fix this out of control way overpopulated world PvP problem because it’s truly making the game no fun.

They aren’t all out PvPing because they probably prefer chatting in the cities over PvPing, hence why they rolled on a PvE server.

Atiesh is doing great. I have been seeing tons of new folks out and about. Keep telling folks to reroll PvE, we appreciate the new blood keeping our community fresh and welcoming.

Nope. Server still has queues most nights.

You mean Thanksgiving weekend? A holiday people travel and spend time with families. That’s just crazy talk. No way that could affect people’s playtime.

That guy was promoted to president of blizzard not long after making that statement. Which most of this forum thought was a career ender. It somehow propelled him to the top of the company though… definatly not staged to build hype and controversy. Lol.

My God man you mean to tell me you rolled pvp server with the intentions of pvpin? /salute
We’d have a lot less crying on these forums if the pve’ers would have rolled pve servers.
