HPal Rework is Focusing on Shield of The Righteous Utilization?

Let me clue Blizz in on a little secret:

Not a single HPal wants Shield of the Righteous on their bars. At all. Unless it’s 0 gcd and 0 HP. It’s a waste completely.

Also our Mastery is a complete liability in PvE unless we want to be within life threatening damage mechanics… what a great design…

And in PvP where we want to get lobbed from teams by being within range to be hard swapped. This proximity based mastery to beacon or not is completely punishing unless our HP pools are higher than tanks…

We want to heal. That’s all we want to do. And we want to feel like our heals are effective. Literally all of our heals heal for less than 10% hp of our targets. We have to be constantly spamming global’s just to heal someone in PvE or PvP. Especially in this insanely bursty gameplay design y’all have been thirsting for since Cata. One wrong global and anyone (including yourself) is dead.

This is not the case at all on my: Disc / Holy Priest, Resto Druid, MW Monk, Pres Evoker (all of which have worse gear than my Hpally) and we definitely know this isn’t the case on resto shammy (only healer I don’t play)

I dunno, with the PTR talents you can add a lot of value to it. Greatly increased single target damage, party-wide healing, off-GCD, now interacts with Awakening. It’s not the play for every situation, but it doesn’t feel useless anymore, will be good for those times you have holy power and nobody needs a big heal. My only issue is that you still need a shield to use it so I can’t go get a +int 2-hand sword or something.

Let me clue you in on a little secret: You don’t speak for every paladin. Good holy pallies routinely use SotR, and having it improved is welcomed.

I wouldn’t say it’s focusing on it, my build on the PTR doesn’t use it at all.
It’s focusing on Glimmer, which I’m cool with.

Don’t speak for me. “We” don’t agree on like 90% of what you posted.

Yes I want to heal, but I also want to do damage. I don’t mind SotR at all and Holy Paladin is not weak in its current iteration it simply lacks interaction between parts of its kit and has a degenerate proc fishing issue with awakening. Beyond that, the spec is perfectly viable in PvE and is in fact, very fun.

Your honor level 17 with 14000 accountwide achievement points.

I don’t hold your opinion as experienced nor valid.

Not everyone pvps. Your arguments might have a point in the context of pvp, but in pve? I welcome being able to utilize SoTR as a holy power dump for low/no healing situations. The issue with it from a pve perspective is simple, it locks you out of wielding a 2hander that isn’t isn’t your legion artifact.

So no, you do not speak for me, the fact holy paladin is frontline melee healer that juggles dps and healing is the exact reason I play it, I will play my priest if I want to stand 40 yards away twiddling my hands.

If you’re going to profile stalk someone and try to denigrate their pvp experience, it helps to not be a lifetime challenger skippy.

There’s enough good talents in the 10.1.5 Spec tree that if you don’t want to take the SotR talent, you don’t have to.

I do, uncapped aoe is excellent. My only problems with it previously were it doesn’t proc awakening (does now) and did crap damage on single target (just got buffed in ST).

…did you read what the mastery talent actually does?

Objectively incorrect.

The comment on mastery putting you in close proximity to dangerous mechanics is hilarious. This literally is only a take that bad players have, and is therefore irrelevant.
