I will not discuss what triggers the bug; I’m simply brining attention to it. There is a bug with Divine Purpose that causes the buff to not be consumed when spending holy power. This results in 0 cost holy power spenders. The bug is only cleared on relog. Warmode was active when the bug was discovered.
Luckily, Hpal spenders are so weak this gives zero competitive advantage.

Not sure why people are asking you ‘why share’ when it is definitely something you should share. I have known about it for a while, lot of people have but we do not want blizzard seeing logs and thinking holy power spenders are good enough when they are in fact not even close. To be clear I don’t even want them to be, i’d rather them rework holy power before making spenders something we press all the time again personally.
Regardless it’s good you mentioned it, hiding bugs that could impact what buffs/nerfs we get is not always smart. Plus we can generate so much holy power right now anyway with tower of radiance it just doesn’t really matter.

Fix the bug and while you are it, take a look on why the bug isn’t actively being exploited because → “Hpal spenders are so weak this gives zero competitive advantage”.
Fix major spec bug and core design issue of the spec is currently facing for the price of one. Win-win.

During cata pre patch, [Spark of Hope] from Ulduar granted an infinite single charge of holy power. It was insanely OP in PVP, and how I was able to heal Ruby Sanctum with ease.
They fixed it at Cata launch, but it was like that for a hot minute.
It’s so funny and you’d think it would be busted, but it’s a major hps loss to use it. Was so excited for it to happen to me too.
