I logged on and it feels amazing. Tons of throughput. There are some bugs though…I have chain heal and riptide on my bars. Anyway thanks blizz…u da bestest -_-
I heard somewhere that the best way to get what you want in life is to be pettily passive-aggressive on internet forums. I don’t know why I thought of that all of a sudden, just popped into my head for some reason.
I hope you enjoy your chosen class!
Here I’ll do it again: omg Greybrook, #1 troll on paladin forums. Disagrees with anyone he can every chance he gets just for the sake of arguing. I am so honored that you replied.
Also I love you.
Also I always play hpal anyway.
Also they don’t read these posts. It’s just a place to vent frustration.
for real tho, these nerfs suck!
“oh but you wont even notice them”
naw i be pushin max content and I DEFINITLY notice
Yeah, on retail maybe. If you’ve been “pushing max content” on the beta, you’d be just fine. Hero talents more than make up for losing 1 holy power every crusader strike.
Loss of one HP, isn’t the only needs that just happened, even swapping to talents that buff flash (with its buff when casted on beacons) doesn’t make up for the nerfs that happened on everything else
I disagree. This can be notice on both, if you go high enough. Its not something you can just shrug off. It’s a significant gameplay change, afterall.
For S1 TWW if you are gonna really push high end content, the nerf is measurable, impactful and makes our gameplay feels worse comparatively to how it was during beta.
This. OP should delete thread and be ashamed. Live and beta state of Holy Paladin is shocking.
Is not bad by any means. DF S3 and S4 were so, so much worse than this looks amazing in comparison. Again, in comparison. It just left a terrible taste in my mouth.
It just we got used to “what could have been” with how good Beta Hpal was. They just decided to make a couple of bad decisions at the very end of the beta cycle out of nowhere.
“Oh but Hpal was overperforming in Rad!”. Yes, because Herald was bugged since day 1 having no reduced healing for more that 5 targets so they decided to nerf everything and call it a day instead.
“Oh, but paladin throughput is almost the same be it Awestruck or HI”.
Number wise, maybe? In reality this is not as close as it was. It may help balancing down the road, but why do we still care about caster Hpal? Why are you backtracking on so much stuff you introduced back in S2 Hpal rework? Why are we making these significant gameplay changes, that are mostly negative, out of nowhere when we had months to test them out?
In Conclusion:" “We were this close to greatness”.
But I guess they had to nerf us since they nerfed Resto Druid and Resto shaman too and they were also outliers.
Our feedback was yelling “dont remove HI” and they did it anyway.
after what I went through trying to push title S3 and s4, I will not be ashamed. Its current state is “ok” but it’s a “build us up then smack us down “situation all over again. it gets old being handed Hope and then have the rug pulled out from under us yet again. It’s current state on beta and live is not shocking. It’s just OK. Shame on you for shaming me about my “shameful” Post about what a shame it is for HPal to be such shame. It’s a shame. How dare you judge me monk. Also, I love you
Whats okay about casting in melee range and having mana issues in Mythic Raid fights when we’re forced to use more Manual Heals over generating and using Holy Power.
Bruh… did you just read the title without reading the actual post. I’m, in a sarcastic way, stating that the nerfs to hpal are garbage. How did you not pick that up? Are you breathing through your mouth right now?
Also i love u.
S3/S4 was way,way worse still.
We had to actually use Flash of Light to spot heal because it was on par with our spenders. We had even more mana issues in DF than now.
Hpal is in a better, healthier spot than almost all of dragonflight (S2,S3 and S4).
Do we need better mana management mechanics? I would say yes, for those same scenarios you mentioned.
Our dps is still terrible as far as I’m aware.
Casting is still an issue in raid, yes probably?, but its nowhere as bad as it was during Amirdrassil and fated seasons, and its a non issue now in M+.
Of course there are some room for improvements, but they have fixed a lot in this beta.
Yeah i agree its much better. Im playing both live and beta. I just hope they keep it in its current iteration without another round of Nerf, which would actually be disastrous for those trying to push title on holy paladin for season one. Also, there is a level of frustration with how they build this up and then do us dirty. It’s pretty troll.
Exactly, they just needed to fix herald for raid, and then check again the HPS charts. I dont think Holy Shock needed a nerf of 18%, nor WoG 5% on top of another 10% from Strength of Conviction nerf.
Then they removed HI out of nowhere.
We had what was the best iteration of Hpal in like 6+ years a few weeks ago in Beta.
For two weeks. And now we go back to being a terrible herrible who casts in melee range after already being a subpar healer for 2 seasons. Yayyyy.
I think after a certain point we just have to come to accept that they will never design paladin in a way where they won’t be forced to cast a heal.
So far every time they’ve done so, it was considered an accident and they nerfed our kit to ensure we don’t make that mistake again.
The Beta is practically over, and its clear they still want us to straddle the line between melee healing and casting. There’s almost no time for them to do anything else I feel, unless they just take a sledgehammer to all our healing again.
Would probably be more beneficial to start discussing how to properly merge these two playstyles for 11.1 instead of screaming into the void at the losing battle of trying to separate the two.
Frankly, I think this is merging the playstyles. The only thing that was removed is an extra holy power generated on Crusader Strike. The damage from HI got made baseline. So right now, you can “tread water” keeping everyone topped off with HS, WoG, and LoD while still doing damage. But when it hits the fan, you may have to hard cast. That seems like a fair balance to me. Even when high predictable damage is coming, Avenging Crusader allows you to continue using CS and Judgement to keep the heals rolling. I spent the last two weeks getting KSM with my friends’ fresh 70 characters, and this is exactly how I played. Bouncing between melee and casting to keep people alive.
I’ve always had a feeling that there’s a miserable git working at Blizzard that hates the class.
