HP omen bnet forgets game location

Wondering if im the only one here with this issues.

Everytime i download a patch to a game, Battlenet forgets the location and puts an “install” over the play button. Whenever i use locate game, it can never find it. If i go find it myself it says “incorrect game version”

This happens almost without fail. Redownloaded battlenet quite a few times to see if it fixes the issue. Any help?

unfortunately I’ve tried this solution and still doesn’t work.

Is the drive or WoW folder you’re installing to write protected? Make sure read and write is enabled on the drive.
