Curious, My Veng DH has 466k HP at 385ilvl. My Prot Warrior & Brew Monk both at 380ilvl and only have 367k HP. Hard to believe 5 Ilvls would give another 100k HP. Is it a class thing or something?

All the self healing tanks have massive hp (except pally for some reason)
I mean warriors have pretty good self healing as well, but lower health pools
Pretty much yeah. DH’s (and DK’s) are damage sponges which tend to heal over mitigating. High health is there to balance them being much spikier than other tanks.
Whereas on the other end of the scale, Brewmasters have Stagger which makes their damage intake very consistent and thus can operate just fine with lower HP.

Real tanks don’t have to take damage, so they don’t need big health pools.

I’m guessing that has something to do with a lot of our tool kit based on blocking.
I could be wrong about that. And I’m not saying it’s a good reason either. Just that it kinda makes sense.
