I’m just poking around for alt possibilities. Haven’t played a priest since Legion, so I’m not sure how they are now.
As I understand it, Holy got a bunch of buffs for 9.2 which is great, but how is Shadow looking for 9.2 in the way of numbers and tier set bonuses?

Kind of weird with two conflicting Legendarys if you play Necrolord.
Conflicting how? Could you elaborate?
There’s no conflict between legendaries for shadow.
Spec’s solid, tier is fun, makes aoe much more playable without SN + gives us incidental cleave in raids.
After raid and m+ testing on the PTR shadow is way more fun than live. I just hope blizzard doesn’t start throwing out a bunch of nerfs.
Shadow or havoc? I have both but my guild is very melee heavy ATM. They need a top dps and I like both and can play both well. They seem to be aoe heavy.
It’s too early to tell since we probably got about another month of tuning to go. I don’t play DH but the one in my guild is not very happy with the tier set.

After the recent changes and heavy nerfs i would say there is no need for shadow in raids anymore. And yeah 10% overall dmg nerf is heavy nerf considering we were never op or blowing out dps meters like certain specs are doing right now.

I’d just stay mage for ranged dps in 9.2 All 3 specs are doing well. Not only is frost out performing everything in ST situations with the exception of maybe enhancement shaman, but their AoE is absolutely beyond stupid on ptr. It’s going to come down to the point of why bring a shadow over X when they are average to subpar at everything there is to offer.
The only thing I can think of is Blizzard see’s something we don’t currently have access to on the ptr. Is the priest ring off Anduin going to increase our damage by 10% or something and possibly have the icd line up with major cd’s? 
Either way this needs to actually be communicated with their community.
I know more tuning is coming but after blizzard nerfed shadow in 9.1ptr last second for also no reason they left Boomies is the complete bonkers state at the same time so I do not know what to think anymore.
Shadow priests are looking like a very competitive range pick at the moment.
They did receive some nerfs but they were justifiable and the testing + sims shows we are still doing pretty good.

Seems about right when it comes to SP. Let me guess the usual favorite is Boomkin, DH, Hunter, in terms of dps? Seems just about every release boomkins are on top. Shadow won’t ever be right.
I think Blizzard just doesn’t like specs that rely on dots.
Yet assassin rogue does well.

Too true. It’s sad because I LOVE dots.
Its really sad that shadow priest is in such a bad condition, i think blizzard just want to remove the spec by making it bad every release.
