Seen the free transfer, looked at the population on the census site and it looks low. Hows your experience so far?

I’ve been on Netherwind since launch. On alliance side it seems pretty populated, particularly during the evenings. Not sure about horde side.

Made the transfer from Thalnos, absolutely no regrets ;X sure, the pop isn’t as large as Thalnos but honestly, haven’t really noticed a difference in the amount of players I see lol I think we just have less layers than the more popular servers.
Which is kind of nice since you tend to see familiar faces more often lol I get in just as many groups, if not more since there’s no language barrier anymore either. Nothing against the BR folk, but it’s nice to be able to communicate with each other :\ I feel bad for them not having a SA of their own.

I moved from many servers and finally chose Netherwind. Netherwind is AWESOME! Even though it’s low population during evening EST times it ranges to Mid-High. There are many friendly people I’ve met here. Overall the community is awesome from my experience.

So I just checked your link. Keep in mind that the old server cap in Vanilla was like 2500. With higher caps, but the same map, I don’t think 10,000 or so is such a bad thing, especially since layering is going bye bye.
Some realms are severely overpopulated…

That is true. I haven’t had to deal with any queues since i log in early and log out late. But its crowded to the point where i have to go to obscure (slow) locations to aoe grind/farm 
Edit: Also keep in mind those are per char stats not per accounts stats. So the numbers are hard to estimate, I assume the average player has 2-3 alts and bank alt.
I’ve been trying to say forever, just wait until layering is gone lol those REALLY popular servers are going to be a cramped af, where a pop like NW I think is going to feel a lot healthier in the long run

I agree with you! But my goal this time around in classic is gold cap - Trying to figure out what my best course of action is. Bigger pop more buyers but smaller prices etc.
Yeah, I think we’ll be fine…
Remember guys when the layering goes away in a few weeks the population will seem much healthier.
