Hardcore on Horde isn’t hitting the same for me as it does on Alliance. I know there is a major population disparity between the two on Doomhowl, but for those of you playing on Alliance, how is it? Are you still able to find groups without issues? Is there a decent bit of end game raiding that’s happening?
Definitely less pop on Alliance compared to DP 2 months ago. Only 1 guild dropping WBs atm but I’ve had no issues finding groups for my lvl 60 lock and 39 warrior.
I wish Alliance was more popular, I love Holy Paladin but the early zones feel so empty and barren , I can’t say much as I gave up around lvl 30, but HurricaneHC suggests maybe higher dungeons are more populated.
My issue is playing Alliance doesn’t feel good, rarely seeing players ruined the experience.
Praying it picks up!.
I found horde side over-populated and there was too much competition for spawns. Alliance is more my style - there are still plenty of people around to group with, and the world doesn’t feel too empty for me.
I’ve only played at low levels so far, 22 gnome mage and 11 night elf priest. I’ve really enjoyed the experience. There’s always been people around, but not so many that it makes it hard to quest or grind; I can tag whatever mobs I want. Only tried Deadmines so far but it was easy to find a group and lots of people advertising for it (also lots looking for WC and Stocks).
I suspect things will thin out when (or if) I level up more but the starter area experience up to first dungeon has been very positive on Alliance side.
Note: there’s still lots of people dinging 60, it’s by no means deserted at endgame.
I’m able to find groups and the population seems large enough. My main problem is a huge lack of skill/knowledge about the game on Doomhowl Alliance. For example on Defias Pillager Alliance, I only saw 2 players die in dungeons, while on Doomhowl I’ve already lost count how many terrible groups I’ve been in. Healers are having meltdowns over basic pulls and hearthing out. I’m glad a new players are coming to HC but it seems a lot never even played WoW before and it can be really frustrating playing with these players (noobs).
It’s dead wherever you go. We don’t need 8 layers when there are only 3 people in your layer of SW, and 2 people in your same zone. Good thing this isn’t my first rodeo and I know how to solo.
80% of Doomhowl went Horde because all the streamers went Horde. Their side is still lively with 8 layers; ours is dead as a doornail, even nights and weekends. We’ve only had a couple WBs drop since launch, too, while Horde gets multiple WBs dropping daily.
Please shut off layering on the Alliance side of Doomhowl, or cut it down immensely.
For starters blizz needs to prevent new characters from being created on horde to balance the population a bit.
Alliance in DP seems to have picked up a bit in the lower zones, people were commenting on this over the weekend. I haven’t been in the higher zones for a while now, (not playing those characters lately) so not sure on that those. From what I hear it’s better for the A there than the anniversary server.
Doesn’t hurt to log in there and check it out a bit.
I like it. Haven’t had a hard time finding dungeons, people are genuinely helpful, and there’s space to do quests and not feel like it’s overrun.
World buffs are few and far between so it would be nice to see a bit more of a population but it’s not “dead” by any stretch.
the streamers definitely imbalance the server. Last year after the mok gora tourny they made onlyfangs on the alliance side and there was only 3 raiding guilds left on defias. One of them decided to raid bwl with only a few having ony cloaks. think they lost about 25 people on firemaw.
Lets just say you will not have issues questing or finding things in the world (herbs, ore). Dont expect much in the AH
its actually very much alive, but all the layering for the horde players make it seem dead
