I have several ideas any of which would be good for me.
Raid and party group warmode sharding for one set of players and solo warmode sharding for solo players.
PvP Event World Quests every day or hour. Such that it encourages both sides to get into the mix with each other. The legion brawls were great because it made players an enemy of everyone else. It was free for all glory. Other examples include alliance vs horde events on each side based on a timer. I would argue the incursions sort of feel like this but they do not go far enough with giving good consistent rewards especially for high geared players.
Provide AOO to ârougueâ horde members that would opt to do pvp as alliance to help balance out the pvp polulation.
Make turning on/off warmode something that can only be done once per week. Aka either you are in warmode or are not for a full week. None of this turning off after the aoo loot is given or if you dont want to pvp. PVP servers were invented to have a constant stream of pvpers. This current system encourages people to turn it off in almost any inn.
And remove any and all âincentivesâ should not have to bribe people to pvp, never had to before. Many of us are from very unbalanced servers before warmode existed, none of us ever asked for or expected to be given handouts for being outnumbered.
Yes. Incentives and bribes like the ones used for War Mode are bad game design. Especially if they are unbalanced between factions. They should have went with a reward structure similar to PVE that benefits you when you succeed at PVP.
I still donât understand why they have reward tied to warmode. There should be nothing, if you like to pvp turn it on. If you donât just turn it off
It can only be turned off in SW or Org. Most max level players and people over 110 seem to leave it on anyway. As some do like more pve then pvp and its primary a pve game i think this system is fine.
I would like to see improvements for leveling from 1 to 110. Max level should have an advantage but if you are max level and go into a level 20 zone there should be some balance mechanics/ scaling. Making low level players more likely to stay in war mode if they have a fighting chance.
I like the idea of pvp world event. And again these should extend to many zones across azeroth for all level of players.
Place random spawning greased up pig on random map that drops myth level loot when controlled for 10 minutes. 1 loots per week per toon. Pig has 200% speed buff.
There were never rewards for rolling a pvp server, there were warnings.
Warmode is a great idea.
It lets people on pvp servers that didnât know what they signed up for, a free transfer to a pve world.
And lets those on pve servers that want in that pvp action to go pvp.
The mistake was any reward for turning it on. Either players want to play on a pvp server, or they donât. The rewards are what have made all the current pvp tears.
My question from the start of this expansion. WHY does blizzard want players to turn warmode on so badly they offer rewards in the first place?
Just get rid of ALL the rewards and let the players play the server type they want in peace.
