I’m pretty sure that Ruzaki is referring to multi-dotting Barbed Shot and putting your pets in the center of a pack so that Multi-Shot/Beast Cleave can hit as many targets as possible.

At the end of DF we were close to summoning a zoo. With Dire Beast, CoW, and the tier set bonus I was able to have 5 pets at once.

I don’t want a BM tank, but a melee option I would be excited for. Survival is just not cutting it for me.
