How would you guys feel if we could pick the elite pvp pieces appearences as we climb?

Basically, as it is right now… it is fixed so:

  • 1000 Rating: Combatant I - Cloak
  • 1200 Rating: Combatant II - Legs, Bracers
  • 1400 Rating: Challenger I - Gloves, Boots
  • 1600 Rating: Challenger II - Chest, Belt
  • 1800 Rating: Rival I - Shoulders, Helm

but instead, we could pick? so it comes of these thresholds, then you choose what you want instead, and to get the rest you need to climb higher.

It wouldn’t really make a difference for me personally since my goals are usually past elite set

But because of that I don’t have a reason to oppose either

No.

They’re layered for a reason, the most prominent pieces being the hardest to get; it has been that way since arena was first released.

How about we deflate mmr by 500 and put sets back at 2k or 2.2k so they’re cool again :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated: :dracthyr_love_animated:

aight bro I kinda get your viewpoint on glad mounts and stuff but these are elite sets. it’s not that serious

That’s my point, it’s already easy enough.

How are they ‘elite’ if you unlock helm/shoulders at 1000? Lol.

Even unlocking the 2400 additional effects only effect the helm & shoulders.

I personally don’t care. I do wish the weapons were at 2400 tho.

2100 illusion.

2400 weapons.

This was fine, not sure why they changed it.

congrats, now you have a helm and shoulders that don’t match anything else!

Not true, there’s a lot you can do with just pieces for mogs.

easy? you mean to say that the amount of times i hitted my head agaisnt the wall because of the amount of stress arena gives me was just my personal dellusion?

I mean it’s an optional mode, don’t play it if you don’t want to, if it’s causing you that much stress it’s probably time to reevaluate.

Just play Blitz.

yea but blizz has been really good about making sure colors from tier sets are just slightly off enough to not match other stuff usually

difficulty is relative. It’s easier than it used to be, and for 2400+ players 1800 is a piece of cake. That doesn’t mean it’s not hard for you, it’ll just get easier over time

its not optional to me… i’m motivated to play towards the cool stuff that is also FOMO.
I for example am going to get the elite set for warrios this season, both because is very cool and it remind me of legion season 4 fierce gladiator elite set, and also because its going to leave forever after the season is over.
but do i want to play ranked? absolutelly not

Agreed. You want the major reward, then earn it.

To me, shoulders have always been the ‘star’ of the show as far back as TBC S3.

Then elite sets came in Cata which started at 2200 then gradually got reduced to:

2200 → 2000 → 1800

1800 is very achievable that is a 400 rating difference from where ‘elite’ sets started; you just have to play, no reason to have people cheese 1k to unlock helm shoulders lol.

They fell for the easier rewards is good meme

Legion warrior elite sets are rarer than most glad drakes. :dracthyr_hehe_animated: 1800 elite sets are as common as 4% of all players.

Ugh :expressionless:.

I haven’t taken this set off since it was released.

Ye, looks sick on male fridge. Tomb one is my favorite, and Antorus is great but needs something that accommodates the…bulk. I kind of wanna try red draenei or something for more mog options.

It will make your achievement that much more meaningful when you do obtain it though.

In S3 DF, I really wanted the Elite Weapons when they were still 2400. I busted my butt after RSS decimated the 2s bracket. I was fighting some of the best players in the world around 2300-2450 MMR to get it. It was the most fun and most memorable experience. It made getting the sword that much better.

Adding ladder goals is important to motivate people to push for more.
