How would you grade an expansion?

Here’s my list:

Vanilla: A-
BC: C+
Wrath: A+
Cata: B-
MoP: A-
WoD: C+
Legion: A-
BfA: B-
Shadowlands: D+
DF: B
TWW: B-

Sure I have my wishlist of things I’d like to see, but I really enjoy WoW as a whole. Nothing has really had the same shock value as LK where we had the audacity of not only invading Northrend, but building a tournament ground on Arthas’s doorstep to see who gets the honor to go smack him upside the head. Lol!! So awesome and funny.

You’d have to set parameters OP.

The issue is that all expansions exist at different times and with different expectations; if content like Vanilla was released today in Retail, it would be a failure.

TWW: B so far, but it’s still early

WoD/Legion get N/A because I didn’t play those two.

I will only rate based on how I felt about the expansion at the end of said expansion, NOT years after:

TBC: B
Wrath: A
Cataclysm: B
Mists of Pandaria: B
I really didn’t play WOD in any significant amount to have an opinion.
Legion: C
Battle for Azeroth: B
Shadowlands: F
Dragonflight: C
TWW: So far a very tenuous B, might fall into C if next patch doesn’t impress me.

Honestly… that is my rating based on MY experience during the time.

The fact that you gave WOD a C+, means I absolutely cannot trust your judgment. Wrath, MoP, and Legion were A’s. TBC was a B+, most of them were C’s, and WoD was definitely an F. there were two content patches. One of them was a Twitter connection and the other was a selfie camera. anybody that grades WOD higher than an F is probably drunk.
