Just some speculation. Multiple interviews have gone where they said after dragonflight, Dracthyr will likely get more classes. I could imagine that they would get all of the staples such as priests, warriors, warlocks, hunters etc.
I could also easily see them getting Druid for their connection to the green flight, and Shaman to represent the primalists.
But how would it work? Would Dracthyr be forced into their Dracthyr form whenever in combat? Currently, Evoker’s only change when they use an ability that requires their Dracthyr form such as flying or breathing fire. Half of preseveration can be done without changing forms.
Would A Dracthyr warrior be able to fight in their visage form and only change when they use a tail sweep racial?
Please keep in mind that Hover is NOT a racial, I see this misconception a lot. Hover is an evoker ability.

Nope, Evokers can fight in their visage form. They only shift when using an ability that would require their Dracthyr form like Hover, breathing fire, etc.
Most healing spells and Living flame actually do not shift your character even if you’re in combat.
I would hope they they COULD fight in their true form and have armor visible. I don’t like how Drac’thyr can’t wear armor properly but Blizz waves it away because their visage forms can.
Personally I would remove the wings on non-evokers and instead give them spectral wings to use when Soaring. This would allow them to show equipped weapons and capes/backpacks/shields. Might also help them wear armor properly.
Lizard brains would just eat their pets, I don’t trust them as hunters.

I’ll forever be baffled why someone would pick a half-dragon or werewolf race for their character to then… always want to be in human form.
I mean, feel free to play however you want. I’m not trying to be a hater or anything. I just don’t get it and probably never will.
The part I find weird to have Dractyr be other classes is that Tail Sweep and Wing Buffet have talents that improve them on their class tree.
Because I love the Visage customization options that you can’t get by just playing a blood elf. You can REALLY make Dracthyr look like twinks.

I sometimes wish to show off the garb and walk amongst folk as an equal. Sometimes folk get… preterbed… by my dragon like presence.

Combat isn’t the trigger actually. Go whack something with a stick or fight it with living flame. It does not trigger Dracthyr form. Currently on my Evoker right now in combat and not in Dracthyr form

My guess is either Blizzard will rework the Evoker’s class tree to bake those talents into Tail Sweep and Wing Buffet… OR… they leave the talents as is as a sort of incentive for people that continue to play Evoker.
Personally, I think the Visage is one of the ugliest character models they’ve ever made. But, that’s just my opinion and the simple solution is I just never use that form.
There aren’t a lot of good options for people to play as Scrawny or more “youthful/twink” looking men on any of the races. Even blood elves, as much as they’re joked about. The only other race that can be a twink are Vulpera, and you’re out of luck if you don’t want to be a furry.
Blood elves still have jaws that could cut glass, with muscles, 6 packs and incredibly wide shoulders.
Dracthyr still have giant hands, 6 packs and shoulders, but they have more softer and youthful faces that better represent a twink, which is what I look like in real life. I’ve always been an advocate for more faces and muscle/weight sliders so people can be more creative. Until now, Dracthyr is the only race that lets me create someone like that.
Ah enough of my failed attempt at evoker RP (I was on Alugard). That was pretty bad

I’m just chalking it up to different tastes. I like the hulking monster races or a battle-scarred barbarian look which is why I don’t even have Visage Form or Two-Forms on my hotbars when I play Drac’thyr and Worgen. I made those characters because I wanted to be the inhuman monster. Different strokes for different blokes, I suppose.
Man, I really need to find a new RP guild. I haven’t RP’d since… maybe WOD?
