How Would Alliance Players Finish The Story?

Alliance lost three. Teldrassil, Dark Shore, and Ashenvale. The Horde lost Lorderan and even then they turned it more into a win for them than they did a loss.

Im not sure you can really give everyone a satsfying ending with out retconing some of it,

Where they screw up was how do you give the alliance enough justice/vengence (seems like a lot of allys wanna just enslave the entire horde)? You cant really since this is a 2 faction game.

How do you give the horde enough redemption (i cant even think of a solution that wouldent take yearsssss)? You cant really.

Ehh from a terroriory standpoint its kinda equal, from a character/narrative standpoint the alliance is wayyyy ahead.

A lot of times when the alliance wins its seems like its players are like its not good enough!!!

But back on ops topic,

I dont know if you can really give both sides a satifying ending without retconing some of the story but here is what I would do,

The faction conflict is put on the back burner forawhile,
Prolly both nathnos and greymane die
Both sides form a league of somesort and work with eachother
If the horde wants more characters great give em that, that rise out of this conflict
If the alliance wants more inner conflict great give em that

End of the day though were all paying a sub and gettimg caught up in the story is fun, but after this story… i think everyone deserves a satisfying ending.

Ive given this serious thought, its really hard to say, nothing short of a REAL alliance victory dismantling the horde, timetravel so we get all the civies back, umbric/meritra/alleria(anyone really) lied to us and he saved most of the civies but kept them hidden for some reason, another horde capital bites the dust at the hands of sylvanas/she does something to the rest of the horde that even makes us go “damn guys that is sad”.
I just dont see us forgiving teldrassil we already gave the horde a chance once in SoO and they do this crap, the story was screwed the time they decided to burn that tree, there was no way in hell they could satisfy everyone im here just trying to enjoy the rest of this expansion but they are making it real hard.
Ultimately all this lies at the hands of blizzard, its their fault the story is so… defaced, in an expansion that could’ve at least be mediocre they chose to over-hype and under deliver a crappy story, the rest of the content is fine, the questing is fine, mechagon rocks, the war campaign is the big turnoff i have nothing but more disappointment to look forward to.

If I wanted to be really spiteful Teldrassil will never get resolved.
We will have a new Jaina called Tyrande and every Nightelf and they will be shaming the Horde everytime they get on screen and try to contribute positively anyway to the story.

Anything they do will have Teldrassil thrown back into their faces like Theramore.
I am sure the Horde players would love that right?

Tyrande does to Sylvanas what Nightwolf did to Sindel in Mortal Kombat 9, only Tyrande lives. Then N’zoth shenanigans happen, a lot of important/OP people die, the world is in near ruins, and whoever is the leader of the factions and races at that point have to rely on the players to do heavy lifting in the rediscovery process of the world.

Is this guy the biggest Night Elf stan on the forums?
I get it, you fantasize about having a night elf gf, but this might be going a bit too far.

The tea is scalding

Oof that undead rogue edge cuts deep.

I would like the Alliance to reach out to the Horde and ensure cooperation and understanding between the factions is the focus. To work past prior traumas by forming connections rather than stupidly feeding animosity by useless retribution.

So having both sides work together to deal with Sylvanas. And try to heal together after that in ways that have not been done before.

Realistically, the Alliance should be way past that point. The Alliance gave peace a chance. Again. It didn’t work, and now one of their races is on the endangered species list and their homeland is charcoal and blight drenched soil. And the Horde still supports Sylvanas. The Alliance should need one heck of an olive branch before laying down their arms again at this point.

They gave peace a very poor attempt. The Horde has continually been in a bad spot since the Third War. That is why I stress cooperation and understanding beyond just letting them do their own thing. After Siege, there was no real attempt to bridge the gap or improve the Horde situation. And I think that is part of what has led to the continued Horde and Alliance mindset that co-existence is not ideal.

Peace and lasting peace involve fairly different activities. And the current Horde were so willing to launch their current were because of festering animosity. Anduin was right when he tried to have The Gathering. But that sort of things needs to go even further.

That they created themselves.
But of course its Alliance’s fault for not being more understanding.

Lol.

Well, that was partly their mistake, partly the Burning Legion, partly some Alliance characters.

That’s not what I said, lol. Stop trying to mis-characterize what I say.

You can have your opinion of course, but i believe you have been around the forums to have a better one, one that doesn’t include victim blaming the alliance for example.

It is important to make a distinction between something such as blame and accountability. I don’t think the Alliance should be shamed, held accountable, or punished for some of their prior actions. They have mostly upheld their ideals. But that does not mean there isn’t room for improvement in the path for an ideal world.

There have been mistakes all around, and that’s somewhat inevitable. The Horde has, of course, done a number of bad things. And I would say the Horde has done worse and should be held accountable for certain things.

But at the end of the day, if the question is ‘what is the best way to progress’, that does involve assessing what actual effort has been taken to ensure the world moves together to a better place.

How about… and hear me out.
We nuke several Horde cities and wipe out their populace and have them be the bigger man and reach out to us and try to console us.
Make sure that they mean us no harm so that we may stop our aggression.

That doesn’t sound very fun to me.

Part of the ops thing was so that both factions remain viable, and fair. So if you’re fine with the alliance losing several more cities then… sure no one would be a threat to anyone.

Really probably shouldent happen though, would just be badddd all around.

And yet that’s what you are asking of Alliance.
Doesn’t sound fun to me either.

So the Horde get to destroy my stuff again… and I am supposed to like it?

this is the crux of the problem, hence op making his post, even if you typed all this clearly showing your stance in both sides you still havent provided any concrete solutions besides saying that the alliance should be more more proactive while bringing world peace but this is beside the point.

This is a discussion for another post, i do not know why you brought this up we are not talking about making azeroth a better place, do you really think what you stated would satisfy the alliance playerbase? thats all op is asking.
