How will the new warband reputation system handle Bloodsail Buccaneer's rep?

On some characters I’m hated by all the neutral goblins and loved by pirates but the opposite on others.

Will the new system defaut my bloodsail rep back to goblin across all characters and destroy my progress?

atm anything before df rep will not be account bound
but when it happens the highest rep you have will be shared so but rep like this might not be account bound

They haven’t figured it out yet. When 11.0 launches, only TWW and DF reps / renown will be account wide. Older expansions will be done in patches.

i can’t brain how this would work with frenzyheart/oracles scryer/aldor

these reps might be player base not account base

For me, we can just stop at:

:dracthyr_sweat:

it’s my turn to invent a word, and i’ve been using this one for a while.

to “brain” is when you’ve had a think about a thing, then tried packing the thing into different little boxes so you can unpack the boxes one at a time to try and gain more information, but dat brain still derpin.

Technically speaking it’s possible to be friendly with the Bloodsail and goblins. I did it on my paladin, got Bloodsail title, but constantly killed southsea pirates while waiting on BG queues back in the day and got back to neutral.

idk how Aldor/Scryers or Frenzyheart/Oracles would work though.

That is a far away from now. Okay. They will be focusing on dragonflight and then shadowlands and then BFA and you know everything else.

Classic stuff will be last on the list.

I’d imagine stuff like that will be rebranded as “allegiances” or somesuch and kept as their own character specific reps.

My two cents: toss out the whole concept of “gaining one of these reps loses you the other”, because (aside from the very beginning when you’re neutral) you’re always friendly with one and hostile with the other. Move the friendly/hostile response onto an aura that you get when you start questing for them. The NPCs that let you change rep now will let you change auras instead.

They will likely have flags for the various reps to determine which one get shared and which don’t. My guess is the ones with polar opposite linked standing (like Bloodsail and the Neutral Goblins, Aldor and Scryer, Frenzyheart and oracles, etc) will not be flagged as Warband shared.

Betting the Alliance and Horde racial reps won’t be shared either outside of characters on the appropriate side.

They have said some achievements and reputations will remain character specific. The achievement I have seen mentioned was ‘insane in the membrane’. The reputations I have seen mentioned are scryers, aldor, shadowlands factions etc. I imagine bloodsail buccaneer’s reputation will be character specific.

i thought progress for this became account-wide years ago?

there are a bunch of factions where you start off hated

Thankyou for all the great replies. For once a productive thread about the game and not drama!

I don’t see why it should matter.

It’s an out-dated rep so who cares.

(To clarify… I mean who cares if we’re exalted with all of them at the same time, not your confusion.)

depends how it’s done.

i don’t want to get ganked by npcs because i wasn’t expecting them to hate me :woman_shrugging:

If you are exalted with them, why would they hate you?

They said some reputations will not be given warband account wide status.

until you’ve encountered a faction, you can’t see your standing with them.

someone else mentioned something like an aura.
if all characters are automagically being thrown to exalted with everyone, it would lock players out of rewards which can only be obtained at lower standings.

players would have to set individual characters “at war” with whichever faction they want the rewards from… we’d be playing the game backwards.
