I’m a little curious as well. They referred to it as a ‘contested zone’. That mean even on a pve realm you get auto-flagged when you enter it?
Yeah this isn’t anything new, like Nox said, most likely like Wintergrasp. You ran/flew in there, you got flagged even on PvE.

I imagine itll be like the pvp zones in TBC maybe. You can be there unflagged but if you want to participate in the pvp or taking of objectives you’ll need to flag up. But I could be totally wrong. We won’t know till tomorrow.

Even on PvE realms, zones are still contested you just don’t get flagged automatically.
If you want to participate in the event on a PvE server you fly to Ashenvale and enable PvP.
If they intend to follow through on it not working unless if both sides are even… I would imagine some lengthy wait times for Alliance and instant access for Horde. Probably the other way around for pvp servers.
