Is she going to leave the Maw by herself when her deeds are done for or do we activley seek her out so the is our intro guide for Midnight? What will happen? I am quite curious.

Blizzard will not miss the opportunity to bring her back so we can speculate how it will happen.
Right. More than likely she’ll be a quest giver to move along the story. That was my speculation.

Given Alliera is the main character to behold the powers of the Void, she’s the prime candidate along with the aid from the Ethereal, Sylvanas is also an exception to assist Alleria in defeating Xal’atath since Sylvanas is no stranger to the powers of the Void. Though, Sylvans powers are more of the Dark Magic/Void combination which would boost Alleria’s understanding powers of the Void.
We’ve only seen a glimpse of Alleria’s Void powers during the questlines in TWW. Even she needs more practice and powers to defeat Xal’atath. Khadgar is another character that’s trying to push her to her full potential. Alleria is afraid (imo) to become something she’s not. I don’t think Alleria wants to be another Sylvanas, giving up what mortality she has for some more power. Although, Slyvanas didn’t have that choice when she was turned by Arthas, Alleria knows too well the price for more power as she witnessed her own sister (Sylvanas) twist and turn from good to evil to as somewhat “balanced” good again.
I suspect, that at some point, Alleria or someone from the Alliance, (possibly Anduin) will try to convince Tyrande Wisperwind and The Arbiter of Bastion to release Sylvanas. Knowing Anduin in Shadowlands got pretty intimate with Sylvanas knowing her as the Ranger General she used to be. He knows her weaknesses and desires to be herself again. Though, during the scene where Sylvanas “somewhat” returned as The Ranger General as we know now at the end of Shadowlands, her penance is to find and release all of the souls she wronged/killed to be sent to Bastion for Judgement. This also entices Sylvanas to seek out Nathanos Blightcaller, her old flame so to speak. For what, we don’t know. Rekindle things that was meant to be between both? Maybe Nathanos found a way out? Who knows.
All I’m hoping for is that Alliera can find some solace in herself to realize, she’s not alone, she has the help of her sisters, Veressa and Sylvanas no matter how bitter they may be towards each other, they’ve really never gave up each other. Alleria is the current “Ranger General” but how will this play out with the return of Sylvanas? Not sure, but it’s just a title. I believe Sylvanas when returned back into WoW will find her true self and stay by the Alliance side once and for all and try to rebuild what little faith she’s lost in herself and her sisters all the while, realizing the situation at hand is much larger against her own desires and will need to set those aside to aid the Alliance in defeating Xal’atath.
I think with Sylvanas “possibly” returning in Midnight will make that expansion “that much better” imo. Let’s hope the storyline follows both Alliera and Sylvanas being sisters again!

She will just show up with no explanation. Like how Rexxar appeared in Founding of Durotar.

Well Rexxar observed the Orcs and what they do before. That is not a contradiciton.
I still have doubts she’ll reappear, likely more characters will mimic her personality. Such as Liadrin or Alleria.

They can’t shove Alleria into the faces of Horde players again. That would be deaf to the whole setting when the land was introduced as blood elf starter zone.

After Malfurion and Tyrande they are the most iconic in the setting. Why would you axe them when they have so many fans?
Speak for yourself. Sylvanas shouldn’t be punished for what one bad writer did to her story.

That genocide wouldn’t have happened if Afrasiabi wasn’t out to tear Metzens legacy down for killing Garrosh. This happened out of spite.

I don’t believe we can avoid Alleria, it’s a void expansion. 
I suppose thinking about it, Sylvanas could be present in a reunion of the windrunners in their ruins. Maybe Zendarin too. 
Alleria doesn’t care about Quel’thalas anymore. Her loyalty is to the alliance only.
I feel Midnight will be the end for the Windrunners, and The Last Titan will be the end of the Stormrages. Just a feeling.
