So I am comparing the GTX 960m which is pretty much the equivalent to the GTX 1050 ti three years ago, and from the videos I have seen on youtube, the card is holding up medium settings on 2018 games pretty well.
I am assuming the GTX 1050ti will go a similiar path?
Rx 570 is a much better buy (as low as 110$ or so right now). For not a ton more (sub 200$) you can probably snag an RX 580 - also a much better buy.
A used GPU is also not a bad call. I was looking to upgrade my sons GPU (i used a spare GTX 660 id kept around for an “oh crap” GPU for diagnostics when imfirst built it) to something more beefy, and the local Craigslist had some absurdly good deals. GTX 970s for ~100, 980s for 150, and a few 1070s for 225-250.
I snagged a 970 for his build for 100$. Still a fantastic 1080p card.
WOW’s rec. req. for BFA is 4gb card…and WoW isnt a super needy game.
I could honestly say I would not get a GPU under 6gb if you plan to use it for next 5 years+ and want to keep playing AAA titles on the mid upper settigns.
(i mean look at MHW a 1060 6gb is required for 30fps at 1080p.)
