Because of benthic gear I can see how it might not take that long to gear to 400-415ish… But what about necklaces? Does AP scale faster for fresh 120s?
Oh yea, pretty fast. Any activity you do awards AP too. For instance, my Druid who I barely played is up to 47 neck level
If you take some time to do AP emissaries in between queues it jumps up super fast. It’s one of the only things that has a really good catchup mechanic.
You can get 400 ILVL in about two days of easy PVE and then BGS are fine. But when you get into rated pvp you’ll really notice that your gear isn’t up to scratch.
Imo, do PVE for gear… 90% of geared folks in bg’s are sporting all PVE gear, blizz has changed the game and pvp gear is pointless. You can PVE for weeks and end up with better gear for bg’s than someone who has ran randoms for months. If I cared I’d do PVE but I have no interested in forced PVE.
a rogue is supposed to do some 1 on 1. in group fights an under geared rogue will do pathetic damage and healers just heal through wound poison now
someone saying they topped the meters doesnt do much for me, wheres your screen shot?
A rogue can still put out pressure on healers with their stuns, garrotes, blind, kicks, smoke-bomb. Even if you were doing the CC, while a geared Ret or Warrior was smashing away, you would be still contributing a lot to the match
you guys have low standards if thats all you want from your team mates. anyone can attack a healer, id rather people not even queue until they can kill something
Everyone has the right to play regardless of gear… despite what you want.
I’m just pointing out the ways in which they can be of most use when undergeared
I’d prefer smart players who use CC over just pure damage which doesn’t always get kills. This is why Bgs are team oriented and a good team has a combo of good damage and decent use of utility.
you know you can do that stuff and get kills too right, you guys act like its one or the other
id rather have the geared player that does both, and the 385s dont queue. obviously i cant stop them, it is what it is
your team oriented BS is pretty funny this is a gear based numbers game.
Rated is there for you if you care about gear so much.
going into rated arena would be even worse for under geared players, and id have to find a team mate
i quit for the first half of bfa and no sign of the people i used to play with now
what ive actually been doing is grinding out pve stuff and its a pain, but clearly the best way to gear now
Well I meant you could do rated, not the 385s. Randoms are randoms, low gear/high gear, low skill/high skill, etc
i might at some point, bgs are what i like about wow though not arena
With a good mindset, and some time you can get geared in a few days really… It’s really not a big issue.
And yeah still sticking to my guns in that the player makes the toon and can make it work at lower ilevels if they play it smart and know what they are doing…
I also agree with the guy above, everyone has a right to queue until they add an ilevel component which I doubt
That is because you would be a huge burden to your team because you are not playing the game as Blizz intended.
If you are a PVP oriented player here is your progression.
- Start normal raids for 415 gear
- Do a mythic to get a M+2 key
- Take excessive time building a group for your +2 and then get a + 3 or 4
- Repeat step 3 about 10 to 15 times till you have a couple peices of gear and a minor IO score.
- Apply to LFG M+ dungeons till you get accepted and slowly build IO score (in the process you will get some gear upgrades)
- Repeat step 5 weekly till your IO is built up to at least 1100 to 1200 and then start running 10 keys for gear.
- within a couple weeks of step 5 through 6 you should be nearing 430 ILV if you grind.
- Join a raid guild and start raiding heroic for 430 gear
- If you grind about 2 to 3 weeks from start you have enough gear to finally step into a BG.
- Be greatful for how easy blizz made progression and Q into your bg where you face a Ally premade.
- Enjoy the game.
Well they do have rated BGs as well. And I bet you could form a group in minutes these days. People want to play, just don’t want to lead.
Sure, you could do all this. Or you could just do a few world quests in Nazjatar for Benthic gear and cap CP through all the means necessary.
This is true. How long would that take? to be capped at 425? lets say you had perfect luck and got sockets on everything. and every 4 ish days getting 25 pearls from completing 4 WQ.
Think its 20 from 385 to 400, 10 to 410, 20? to 415, 50 to 420 and 100 to 425? so 200 ish per piece of gear? and you can prob get 20 ish pearls a day if you kill elites and get lucky on WQ? so 9 to 10 days avg to max 1 piece of gear. Of course you will need to purchase MANY at 5 pearls a pop till you get stats you want with a socket.
Its great they gave us a option but thats a very slow way of gearing IMO.
