Unfortunately you can’t do that as much in retail. Social contract, snowflakes, etc.
10-15 years ago is a different story xD. General chats and whispers were golden.

I wouldnt check anyone’s spec unless I saw someone die. I did a Love Is In The Air dungeon yesterday and the tank was a Frost DK who was getting smashed and the healer was spam healing but we made it.
If I was healing I probably would have let the tank die right at the end for making a simple fight more difficult than it needed to be, but in the end we completed, looted, and everyone left without saying a word - which is how MMOs should be.

I was in a heroic Mists learning Unholy DK after getting the Siren catchup gear. After the first boss the tank says, “Are DK’s bad this tier or something lol?” Both the Frost DK and myself (Same ilvl) were doing less DPS than the tank.
That’s some thinly veiled toxicity right there.

To be fair, the OP kind of let themselves be caught kind of lying and also it looks like someone claiming to be the healer in the situation also came in and gave their side of the story. Which further discredited the original claim (if true). Sorry if I’m explaining things you already knew, but I thought a quick catch up might be nice just in case.
Either way, I think since the original claim has been mostly discredited in the eyes of many of the people in this thread… It’s just now kind of chatting about adjacently related topics.

Seems like the group regulated itself and kicked the toxic person, as intended.
Also tends to be a tank thing, just the other day a friend of mine was getting flamed by a tank because he wasn’t casting every second as a level 12 warlock when they had less than 5 hours of gametime and were still learning things, though the tank was raging at the healer and tried to do a vote kick that failed, despite nothing in the run going poorly.

Im not saying it was him btw. I just had a prot pally rage at me for doing more damage then him then we kicked him. But i not gonna say it wasnt him because a forum post being made for this plus it happening shortly before this was made its pretty likly it was him

Seems like it it seems he didnt even reply to me makes me kinda sad. Was hoping we could have a discussion because it could just be new player syndrome and him not understanding resto shaman healing

That he doesn’t understand instant casts have no cast bar supports this. He did claim he didn’t see any totems from you, despite your mention you were using Surging:
Maybe he didn’t connect the dots that Surging = Healing Rain on a stick? I went Farseer, so I still have to hard cast Healing Rain. Totemic looks fun though.
Who knows. Most TW dungeons. Surging totem heals enough to keep everyone topped. He probably didnt notice it since it stands in the middle of the mobs normally. Plus my ring does any other healing making it a cake walk for TW. I was just blasting phonk then we stopped randomly because he kept typing saying more heals and i was like your fine then a longer pause. Thena vote kick came up that said. Jerk. So he got kicked

Maybe. I imagine there are enough TW runs happening for this to occur more than once but seems highly likely that it was him. It’s still dumb to rage at your healer for doing DPS when the group is either capable of handling self heals on their own or the healer is doing enough to keep people 80% and up while still contributing to damage.
Who actually wants their healer to just be sitting there when health is close to cap? I mean I’m not going to complain if heals aren’t above or even close to the tank on damage but it’s nice to see a little activity from them on the damage meter. Not required but always a bonus.

Vote kicking a healer is not a reasonable reaction to playing a tank so poorly that a healer outdpses you.

People who just hit level 80 shouldn’t be doing TW.
They should be getting the free Veteran gear from the Siren Isle, along with the 658 ilvl ring.
Then they can go back into TW for the weekly quest and destroy everything.
Dang OP…you trying to play this game like it’s still 2008. Retail Wow’s not like that anymore and hasn’t been for a long, long while.
