Brother, part of a healers role is to do damage. It modifies their healing and also helps the group progress. Damage is a big part of healer meta.
OP said no one died, everyone was healed up and the tank had full threat. Would you prefer the healer just stand there doing nothing?
This is also TW we’re talking about. The healer could have been a level 10 resto shaman one shooting every mob with chain lightning.
They were doing their role. It appears you and the OP are both very inexperienced, and don’t really know what you’re talking about.
The tank thought they could “catch” the healer not healing by putting them on focus. Except, the healer already said that they were healing with instant spells. These will not show up on focus, because instant spells have no cast bar.
If a healer is healing when no healing is needed not only is that a waste of time, but also a waste of mana. A good healer will not just waste mana on nothing, they will make sure they have enough in case some extra stuff gets pulled or someone is standing in bad without GTFO.
So, what you (and the OP) are demanding here is for the healer to do your specific version of bad gameplay. The OP is basically implying they know how to heal better than the healer does.
What the OP COULD have done instead was use a damage meter like details and look up the healing done.
What you are trying to push here with your comment is bad gameplay. If healers are worried about getting kicked for not healing, then they will build a habit of spamming useless heals.

This would be exactly true. Back when I did group content, if someone told me I wasn’t healing enough in this exact situation… I’d immediately stop doing DPS and just sit there and uselessly spam whatever the class I was playing’s equivalent of “flash heal” every couple of seconds on anyone who needed topped up.
Which would fundamentally make the run take longer and be worse, but screw it… I’m not getting in line to help some stranger feel better about themself at my expense. Luckily, I don’t deal with people anymore. That was a by gone age.

WOW. So just let me get this straight.
According to you guys. Me making ONE comment about getting a heal while dealing with tanking on a run, DPS pulling additional adds, no one saying anything, and getting kicked as we came up on the last boss…is MY fault. Mainly because I did my job and no one died and I held agro, even with all the additional crap they were pulling.
This just goes to support my post that the community is Toxic.

It’s funny because you don’t even see what the issue is here, when you yourself wrote the story. You tried to kick the guy and for no good reason. According to you the game went on without casualties. You didn’t wipe, nothing the healer did, or didn’t do hindered the run.
So, in essence, you tried to kick the guy cause he refused to do what you wanted him to do and instead you got the boot yourself. I wouldn’t call that a toxic community, but rather, poetic justice.
NO one said the healer had to heal the whole run. I asked for a “Heal instead of just chain lighting”. Kinda would’ve made life easier.

No I didn’t start and kicks, was just a comment and the run continued. There was no vote or anything on the healer.

Comes back to what I and many others have already said in this thread which is if there was no problem and no one died by your own posts there was no reason to say anything and you trying to cause a problem and having it backfire on you then complaining about it is kind of lol.
