I will split this based on if you are using a 2H or 2 1H weapons
2H:
-Only use sunder if nobody else is and there is no hommunculus
-I usually dont even use rage potions. I get up to 80 rage pretty quickly by charging in, clicking bloodrage, and raging blow. But I always keep a few ready in case I need extra rage to pump in the execute phase if my party is about to wipe on Kelris
-Never use heroic strike. Quick Strike is your rage dump
-Use rend toward the end of immunity phases such as with Gelihast and Aku’mai
-Once you are at 80, you use Raging blow off cooldown, and quick strike whenever you are above 80 rage.
-You only use bloodrage at the start of the fight and then again during execute phase when you are dumping your rage to 0 to get the boss down.
1H Dual Wield (Only the differences):
-Heroic Strike is actually one of your most important abilities when dual wielding. As it turns out, if you have Heroic strike queued, your off-hand weapon will NEVER MISS. As a result, you should set up a macro that will queue heroic strike, and dequeue it when you press it again (you would press right before your main hand swings). This costs 0 rage.
-Once you are at 80, you use Raging blow off cooldown, and Hamstring is your rage dumping ability
I don’t play warrior, what would you like me to tell him? I gave him the best advice that everyone needs. google it, you are more then likely an adult, google is your best friend for just about everything, even simple questions such “how to play warrior in classic.” if we REALLY want to get into it, there’s even a thread complaining about one button warrior macro for brain dead’s who can’t think for themselves.
Melee swings, Wild Strikes Procs and sometimes Rage Potions help with this.
Only if you have to (i.e. if you don’t have a warrior tanking, or someone else applying it).
It’s a 2 min CD, and Blood Rage has a 1 min CD. You can use those to help keep yourself using Raging Blow on CD and keep your rage rolling over 80.
I only use it when I have excessive rage, which happens sometimes and WS is procc’ing like crazing.
I do, but maybe I shouldn’t!
Pretty much, yeah.
Raging Blow on CD
Overpower if it procs
Quick Strike
Heroic Strike if you’re hitting max rage
I’ll typically use it if I’ve lost my 80 and Raging Blow is off CD, so I can use RB and get back up to 80 rage with autos.
FWIW, I’m a pretty average parsing warrior.
Everyone seems to say this about every class they don’t play. I think warrior is probably one of the harder classes to play, but what am I comparing that to? I’ve only really played Warrior, Paladin, Mage at max level in Vanilla content, and Druid/Hunter if you count SoD at level 25, or later expansions, but then I would add Lock, Priest and DK, but that’s all largely irrelevant to Vanilla content, imo.
Learning to help ourselves is an important skill. I took 10 seconds out of my day to impart wisdom on someone that can help them for the rest of their life.
But please, continue to be lazy instead. That’s good too.
He’s literally right. All of your questions are answered in excruciating detail and with way more knowledge than anyone here will give you on Fight club. Quit acting like a snobby child
I’d rather have a human interaction with somebody instead of watching a 14 minute video where the guy might not explain everything I am looking for. Some video where 90% of it is nonsense, along with a 2 minute sponsorship promo, or having misinformation because I watched 4 videos and all of them had different information.
I branch out with videos, forum posts, and my guild discord.
So if you want to act like some snotty teenager impersonating a hall monitor, then go ahead. Be my guest.
there’s also a parsing tank build for warrior where you run dps gear with 1h and shield, runes are Flagellation, Consumed by Rage, Devastate.
the rotation:
have lots of rage on pull
get to 80 rage and pop Bloodrage
spam sunder armor with no regard for rage or anything else
beat most of the dps on the meter
