Also bags for the bank slots. I feel like the ability to max out all of your storage opens a lot of breathing room with a character. With full bank space, you can store things for crafting in addition to bounce around questing with less worry as you can put some quest items from one zone in the bank to free up room to go somewhere else. It’s very freeing 
I would buy 4, 14 -16 slot bags. And it really depends on server. Can always go 2 and 2. Regardless that’s a lot of bag room for when you are leveling. If you find want a bigger bag get one and transition old bags to bank alts.

Not even when you wish to hold more shards than would be allowed otherwise? I guess they aren’t free.
I like mighty trolls blood potions they are cheap. Lesser wizard oil. Enchant your gear with stuff use armor kits on pants. Health pots are relatively cheap and super handy.
best thing to do with 500g as a new player is save it until you reach 60 with your first character. your 100% speed mount will cost ~1,000 gold, depending on your reputation with your corresponding race.
need enchanting 200 to craft lesser wizard oil, im far from there… 
anyway do i use it on staves or wand, or both?
curious question about disenchanting, it says disenchanting with the price but only returned me strange dust, without the $$…

already burnt almost 100g away on professions…tailoring and enchanting maxed for my level 
The opportunity cost is you lose 16-18 normal slots to gain 24-28 slots that can only ever be used for shards. If you find yourself using that many shards, it can definitely make sense.
I find the normal bag slots more useful to me personally though. More slots to hold loot while I’m grinding, or gear for set swaps. My default state, I have 1 empty 18 slot bag and if I need more room I can start deleting shards to get up to 18 more slots. With a soul shard bag, that would not be possible and any farming sessions would get cut in half for duration.

yea i kinda agree coz my current leveling does not require more than 10 shards (about 5-6 as spare) and i wouldn’t want to lose 16-18 slots away from holding normal items… im not sure about higher levels though…

No offense, that was a waste. Strongly advise not doing that again. Professions are not difficult to level organically.
Edit: Especially T/E. Farm humanoids for cloth, make tailoring gear you don’t need, disenchant said gear, repeatedly enchant your gear over and over again. Rinse and repeat till 300/300.

i kinda felt so too, but there were way too many people here who advised and suggested to go for tailoring and resell mooncloth bags to make money… also enchanting…as a drawback, im not buying any 14-16 slot bags, but will craft them as im not in a rush to have those extra slots… remaining will be kept for mount…
Understood, but you will not be able to craft Mooncloth bags until nearly 60 anyway. You kinda can’t rush up to them. Also check the price of them on your AH, they may not even be much of a moneymaker on your server at this point in the game.
Edit: That being said, T/E is still the best choice for any clothie at least till 60. You will be able to craft your own powerful gear to round out the gaps from quest rewards, as well as your own bags.
oh may i know why can i only craft those bags near to 60? i thought at lv35 once I unlock Artisan tailor thats 220-300?

Those items have minor stats and spell power which can and should last until level 60 when you can farm more gold and buy better items or farm them from dungeons.
In your 30s you will receive a quest to go to the Barrens as a warlock, one of those quest rewards will give you a spell power staff, do not choose the off hand and do not choose Fire Spell power. Choose the shadow spell power staff. You will also naturally gain soul shard bags through these class quests. I believe if I remember correctly they are level 34 quests, there are two quests and you can only choose one to complete iirc. Make sure to google them to do the right one.
You can also buy “Traveler’s Backpacks” they are 16 slot bags and are 16-24g usually on most servers. There is no point in buying 18 slot bags.
On average the items above will run you 80-120g depending on server all together, no reason not to pick them up if your friend is gifting you that much gold.
