Hi Community,
My Mistweaver talent got full reset from the pre-patch, so I decided to test try and build different.
I took Song of Chi-Ji and I wasn’t sure how to use it lol. It reminds me of the mage flying orb spells or the Evoker damage reduction yellow ball, but all it does is put targets in the path to sleep.
Is it suppose to be a AOE ranged caster interrupt? Cause that’s how I have been treating it lol…it moves slow, like my adaption/understanding rate of the spell XD
I don’t know if it has far more use in pvp or not, but I basically tried it once when it came out and haven’t touched it since in all the years of its existence.
To use Song of Chi-ji properly you first open your talents and swap that node to Ring of Peace, second step is to ignore Song of Chi-Ji entirely.
Seriously though Ring of Peace is just better and doesn’t put you in combat for using it like song. Speaking from a a PVE perspective: anything you can do with Song you can do better with Ring of Peace ( and then some ). If it didn’t compete with RoP for a node it would probably be used more, mostly in pvp I imagine.

Ring of Peace is great! I tried both, I just felt Song of Chi-ji allows a little more chill, as it just flies forward.
I have a separate build for each one. When I Crane Melee Heal, I use RoP, and when I Dragon Range Heal, I use SoC. But realistically I just fire it off towards casters whenever I have it available lol.
It’s basically an aoe gouge you shoot forward. I’ve seen it used more in PvP than PvE. Personally, I don’t like it and I think the choice node should have been area denial RoP and MoP RoP.
