How to use default UI you set on all toons easily

Here’s the issue. Some may like the new default UI, but are torn with it because you have to edit the UI for every character. Well, not really. Here’s the way I set the UI for all characters without using the edit mode.

First, on your favorite toon, edit the UI how you like it. Once done, log out and exit the application completely.

Next, on Windows, go to the following (let’s assume your characters name is BOB:

“C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft_retail_\WTF\Account\ACCOUNT_NAME\REALM\BOB”

Inside BOB’s folder, you’re looking for a file named edit-mode-cache-character which is a text file.

Copy that file and replace it inside the folder of another character, let’s say JANE. Once done, open the txt file up and change the name of BOB to JANE. Save and exit then open WoW and log into JANE and now you’ll have your UI all set to how you want it.

Hope this helps.

I’m not getting you. I edited and saved a set up on one toon. Logged into another toon and changed it from default to the one I saved. I didn’t have to re-edit anything I just had to change it to the saved version.

I see your point. I didn’t know they changed it. When DF first came out, I had to set the UI for each toon. But I only did it for a couple of characters until TukUI was fixed. But now since this new patch broke the addon, I’ve had to go back to the default. And yeah, I notice after turning off TukUI the default UI is how I set it for my main toon.
