How to unlock shadowlands world quests on level 50 alt

Ok the real goal is to get some conduits, and I know that world quests are a good way to do that. I have a Renown 80 level 60 already
I chose Threads of Fate and then I did the Torghast quest.
I am back in Oribos but no world quests are showing up?
I thought I read that you can do world quests as soon as you chose threads of fate?
Do I have to do each zone’s special quest first?
If so that’s kind of punishing for trying to get conduits.
I see there is an item that gives all the conduits but it requires level 60
So I bought the renown catch up item but I still really can’t use the soulbinds because I dont have any conduits?

Yes. Also, some WQs require you to have completed some of the side quests.

No conduits until 60.

Wqs should show up tho. Theres only one or two, i dont remember completing anything to activate them like the fill the bar one or w/e

ok that makes sense, so really I can just do whatever until 60 and not worry about the conduits

This. You can not get conduits until level 60. BUT once you hit 60 you can buy a token that gives you all the conduits at lvl 200 (I think). That vendor is by the flight master in Oribos.

What you should be doing right now is getting renown levels. At 50 go to the vendor in Oribos by the flight master. Get the renown token there. That bumps you to 40. Then do every challenge thing marked in every zone. Each gives renown. By the time you finish leveling and do the first quests for your covenant you will be almost renown 70.

World quests will unlock right away but there are only a few at that level and the profession ones require you to be level 25 in your professions to show up.

Look for bonus missions, not world quest. And then if you stumble upon a world quest while you do the mission, go ahead. And queue random dungeons in the meantime.

Sure, but now I read that 9.2.5 will give a token to renown 80 so Im probably better off just waiting to get that token for everyone and concentrate on just leveling everyone
I have 8 characters to level 50-60

I am not sure when 9.2.5 comes out though so if you want them to have the renown sooner than that, might as well do the quests/events that give it as you level. It is just a way to focus leveling to be efficient.

If you want to just level them and wait for the patch, that is fine too. You can do it any way you want.

ya I bought the token for some characters, I just meant, no reason to buy the token for ALL my alts now, just the ones that I am currently leveling, which makes sense, could have some to 80 by the time 9.2.5 comes out and save a bit of gold.

THANKS for the replies

And two options from a vendor in ZM that give 226 and 239 conduits respectively.

Did you pick a covenant? There should be an initial covenant quests of helping that covenant, which is a % completed thing in the covenant zone. After completing that, you should get an option (In oribos where covenants are chosen) to help another zone. The quests in the zone with the crossed swords give you the best leveling XP.

I’m leveling 3 toons at the moment, so things are easier for me to reference.

Yep! Conduits are the last thing to worry about with the catch up mechanisms now. Thank goodness! Of course, a person may still have to do some of their Covenant quest lines to unlock the soulbinds, but still. That does not take much.

I think if you’ve completed the storyline at least once on a character, you get all 3 soulbinds as soon as you hit 60 on alts now. I’ve gotten all 3 at once on all my alts, but I’ve done all 4 covenants’ storylines. I don’t know what the prerequisite is, but I know you can entirely skip the campaigns now. :+1:

That is Covenant specific right? It works for me if I have an alt of the same Covenant, but my baby DK Necrolord is having to do the campaign to get her soulbinds. She is my first Necrolord though so that makes sense.

Yeah probably. Not sure, but I’d say you most likely have to complete every covenant storyline at least once on a character, to get the soulbinds immediately on other characters. Hopefully the accountwide stuff is less confusing in Dragonflight. :joy:

My current experience:

  • Alliance main is Night Fae. Did the campaign. Get the three soul binds for the alts right away.
  • Horde main is Venthyr. Did campaign. Got the three soul binds for the alts.
  • Kyrian I am dead in the water because it requires a dungeon to do so she is not finished and I won’t put alts through it.
  • Necrolords I just started with my DK a few weeks ago and does not have the soul binds unlocked. It seems campaign linked.
