How to unlock in-game mail

When I went up to the in-game mail it said I had to upgrade my account to access it. Does that mean I just have to lvl up my account.

I assume you haven’t paid anything yer?

The way it works, there are three levels of account.

Starter Account:

With a Starter Account, you don’t pay any money but you can not:

  • Level above level 20
  • Use Mail
  • Trade with other players
  • Use the Auction House

and some other restrictions

Game Time:

When you buy Game Time, you get 1 or more months of paid play. You can now do everything except

  • Level above level 70
  • Enter the latest expansion, The War Within

You can also play all of he other versions of WoW, including Mists of Pandaria Classic.

The War Within:

When you buy The War Within expansion, or pre-purchase the Midnight expansion, which includes The War Within, you can also

  • Level to 80, which is the current max
  • Play The War Within

as long as you keep buying Game Time.

So what you need to do now to progress above 20 and use Mail and the Auction House isbuy Game Time in the Shop. The link is at the top of this page:

You can choose between buying 60 days of Game Time of starting a Subscription. Since the Subscription is cheaper and you can cancel it at any time, that’s what most peopkle do.
