How to turn off Extra xp for BFA content

I enjoyed the fast leveling up till I got to the new content but now I just want to take it slow. How do I turn off the extra xp?

They might expand it until Shadowlands release.

Sidenote, you can still do the quests at max level and have the same gameplay experience, with the exception that quests will give gold (which is good to have!) instead of experience.

I was just going to say that very thing. I leveled through island expeditions and didn’t quest at all, a week later and I’m still catching up to allied race requirements for questlines. I don’t see it as having missed anything though doing it that way.
