How to transmog your glaive artifact

Your artifacts can only be transmogged to your MAIN weapon.

To get your offhand transmogged to your artifact, simply put your offhand in your mainhand slot, transmog it, then switch your weapon back to its original place.

WARNING! This process is too complicated for the blizz transmog system. It will want to keep changing your weapon back to original or to whatever you have your weapon saved to your transmog. Artifact weapons will not be saved to an outfit, so if you accidentally mog over it, you will have to transmog your weapons individually again.

FYI: doing it this way is the only way to make it look like both of your weapons are transmogged to your artifact glaives.

Transmogging your mainhand to an artifact appearance also transmogs the offhand as long as that mainhand is equipped. The armory and log-in screens are just buggy and often “forget” about that feature. Works fine in-game, however. There’s no need to swap and mog your offhand unless you care a bunch about your armory appearance.

Also, you’re correct that artifact appearances won’t be saved in outfits, because they are spec-specific. However, you can mog the same weapon as a different artifact in each spec, and that spec’s mog will simply take effect when you swap to it. You can also mog a non-artifact and then an artifact over it, and the non-artifact mog will take effect whenever you’re in a spec not compatible with the artifact mog.

Outfits also won’t save “no mog” for a slot if they’ve ever had a mog saved to that slot. To get an outfit with no mog on a slot, you have to create an entirely new outfit and unset the mog on that slot before saving the outfit. Doing this with your weapon slot will prevent the outfit system from attempting to overwrite your artifact mog with your previously saved non-artifact mog.

The idea was that there were several questions about “why mogs were not showing for offhand slots when the artifact was mogged” and NOBODY had an answer. This is just the answer for people who like coming to forumsand showing off their mogs.

hmm, seems it was on my DK transmog. my mistake (twitchy and miley are both me)

Rate that mog! Again, and again, and

i found a trick to fix this. if you put the off hand in the main hand and not hold an off hand, and transmog each individually, it fixes it. Basically transmog each weapon without holding the other. 8/10 though.
