As we know the professions of broken up by “expansions” and you have to individually “train” for that expansion
I’m picking up a character with enchanting again who’s currently 29 and have enchanting up to catclysm learned.
Here’s the problem I’ve been sending my enchanter stuff from my mains for years and he has a bank full of stuff to disenchant. Prior to the ilevel and level squish I had a general idea of what items were for each expansion, but now I have no idea and I don’t want to disenchant a bunch of stuff that I won’t get the skill for so the idea is to train enchanting for each expansion so I can just happily disenchant everything in my bank without worrying about missing out on skill gains.
What’s the best way to do that? Just chromie time each expansion, go through the intro and then train, go back to chromie rinse/repeat?
Thanks
If you have a mage friend willing to spare 10-15 minutes, it might be easier to use mage portals to hop to the various capital cities for each expansion. Pandaria would likely be the exception since I think the trainer is in Jade Forest.
If that won’t work or you don’t want to ask a friend for that, then I think your idea is probably the quickest way to do the basic training for each expansion.
You don’t really even need a mage. You can just use the portals in Orgrimmar to get to the Outland and Northrend trainers as they are found in the cities you have portals to. The WoD and Legion ones, you can just use your specific Hearthstones for. I think that WoD can even be trained in Ashran if you don’t yet have that expansion opened up.
The MoP Enchanting trainer is in the vicinity of Dawn’s Blossom in the Jade Forest. The portal in Orgrimmar takes you to the northern end of that zone.
