How to track Anglerthread vs Seekerthread on Weaverline

  • Looking at the tooltip for my Fisherfriend, I see NOTHING about Anglerthread or Seekerthread that I’ve put on my Weaverline. It just says Enchanted: Algari Weaverline

  • There’s nothing in the Fishing Journal when I inspect the page that shows Angerthread or Seekerthread. I’d expect to see 5/100 or something similar for each so I can keep track.

  • When I “apply” Angerthread or Seekerthread from my inventory via “use” of the item, i see the action cast bar occur, but there’s no message about successfully applying the item to the Weaverline. As per other game mechanics, I’d expect to see a “Anglerthread has been applied to your line” with a 25/100 type status report with a “ding” type sound like when we apply a consumable buff to our mining pick or similar gathering tools.

Is my UI or tooltip bugged or is this all supposed to be a big mystery?

Weird place to hide the info. Why wouldn’t it just be in the Fishing Journal or, as with all other type buffs to items and profession equipment, on the actual Fisherfriend?

Just mouse over the ‘fishing for attention’ buff you get when equipping your fishing pole. It will tell you the amount of thread your warband is getting.

The achievement that extends the thread’s to your warband is in increments of 10. Which is why I recommend to funnel any threads you get to one toon with a weaverline until its topped off at +100 perception/skill. Your alt must have a weaverline installed for it to benefit from your accumulated threads.

I posed this same thing a few weeks ago. Easiest way to see is by hovering mouse over fishing buff while fishing.
I thought it was really weird too that it isin’t displayed in the fishing journal myself.
