People complain about bots, people complain about premade WSG, people have so many concerns, the one thing people didn’t have a concern about gets destroyed.
The reason that Premades get complained about: You have to waste a bunch of time grouping up, which people gear check, ask for consumes, ask for discord, when you just want to play the god damn game. If you’re not fully geared out, you cannot enjoy the WSG experience, which traditionally WoW was always against. Did everyone strive for BiS? Absolutely, but it was never demanded for content.
Solution: If group Queue is flagged as raid → Separate queue. Long Queues? Too bad. This increases the number of WSG games going on, promotes an overall more healthy PvP environment.
NEW COMPLAINT: Adding a timer to Ashenvale, not only did you limit how much you can do ashenvale now, YOU MADE IT UNKNOWN WHEN IT WILL START. What kind of low IQ bullcrap is this? Literally no one asked for this, how does this change improve the health of the game?
Solution: Stop changing crap that literally no one asked for, you’re cannibalizing your game morons.
Are you stupid? The change literally makes it so you ALWAYS know when Ashenvale will start. Between 2 and 3 hours.
Even on Crusader Strike, the most populated WoW server, Ashenvale wasn’t proccing more than once every 2-3 hours anyways. All this change does is make it so people know they can go out to Ashenvale every 2-ish hours and expect the event to start within 30 or so minutes.
they have talked at length about the PVP problem. It’s not a simple solution. Go look up aggrends explanation on twitter, these forums are for players to talk to each other, not a space for the devs to talk to us anymore, the days of ghostcrawler are over.
Have you actually tried it? lol, we just had 99%/99% for 1 hour, and literally everyone just left. So no, this change didn’t improve the health. If they did add it for more frequent Ashenvale events, then adding a timer for CLARITY can allow people to prep, now everyone just treats the progress bar like a little boy crying wolf and walk away.
They made these Battle for Ashenvale changes to make it EASIER for people to farm the rep without having to join a premade. You now get 1000 guaranteed rep a week with Silverwing Sentinels just for showing up. Likewise, you can literally schedule your Battle for Ashenvale more reliably now because you KNOW it won’t happen sooner than 2 hours or later than 3 hours.
Sounds like something to do with the server reset day frontloaded it at some point then, because there’s no way anyone should be managing to get 100%/100% progress in under 2 hours in Ashenvale. It just hasn’t been happening, not for the entirety of SoD so far.
Again, still won’t know when it will start, you’re failing to comprehend the statement. We just had 3 raid groups ditch ashenvale after waiting 45 minutes because no one knew when it will start, and when it finally does everyone is afk not aware it started because they waited too long. For a system like this it is MANDATORY to have a timer, ffs , look at the northrend world pvp map, this crap was known 15 years ago.
the solution to the premade problem is to add more loot to PvP, making tons of casual players incentivized to join, increasing the chances of random vs random groups
we need pvp sets for all level brackets purchasable with honor and honor needs to change into a currency
full sets for:
10-19
20-29
30-39
40-49
50-59
60 endgame set
could do weapons too if you want but sets at least
I’m comprehending your complaint perfectly fine now. It sounds like you ran into a bug to be honest, which means you’re posting in the wrong forum. Post to the bug report forum so they can fix it.
SoD is basically a beta version of WoW. We all knew that going into this when Blizzard gave us a month’s notice and then didn’t have a PTR. We also know from experience over these past few weeks that a lot of Blizzard’s changes and fixes, especially for the Battle of Ashenvale, come with bugs and glitches.
Go to the Bug Report Forum and report this issue instead of immediately using it to cry about WSG premades on the general forums for the umpteenth time.
Success of a business is determined by the quality of each detail, the failure of a business is in the lack of quality. The post is to state that the devs are out of touch, it’s on topic. If it’s a bug, then guess what, that’s on topic.
The issues is that the Devs focuses are unclear, and seem strange to a lot of individuals, only those that are passionate will post on the forums. The devs don’t seem to be addressing concerns that a vast majority share. They are also implementing things with half effort, when it needs to be thought out. It shows that the player’s priority is of low concern, and they are more focused on random things they just want to toss in. This form of development is HORRIBLE and even indie companies know better. As you add more and more into a game, it gets harder and harder to address issues like balancing, bugs, exploits, etc etc.
If people are playing to do a 10M premade as stated, solely because they enjoy it, there’s no problem.
It’s only a problem when people stop queueing as a full 10 because it’s no longer an easy game always going against another premade.
It’s literally why twink brackets are in retail and they’re all but dead. No one’s looking for a fair fight.
Of note, premades aren’t necessarily bad, it’s just a problem because of specific class tuning. Fix Priests and Hunters and we are good. That’s the major problem. Premades are just a byproduct of invincibility through POM/Penance and Eyes of the Beast from your own GY for a turtle.
They don’t even have to make it separate queues, the bg system already uses some kind of partitioning system, hence why you choose specific ones when queuing.
All they have to do is force premades over a certain number (I’d say as soon as it’s a raid group) into a few specific partitions which will mostly place them together. Smaller groups will still be placed as normal, and perhaps that may be filling one of the premade groups, but at least you’ll still be within a mostly premade group yourself somewhat increasing your chances.
