How to start "Into the Azure" quest?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Is there a level requirement, or other pre-requisite needed to start the quest “Into the Azure”?

Storyline is called “Into the Archives”.

I am currently sitting over at ~22.2, 51.0 in Ohn’rahan Plains, where Meritihra is supposed to be with a breadcrumb quest to send me back to Masud the Wise at Forkriver Crossing.

(but I do not see Merithra, so I am doing something wrong or missing a pre-requisite)

I do have a level 70 if there is a level requirement, but I’d rather do it on a levelling character.

I am trying to start this on a character (level 63), in order to unlock the Dragonriding attribute called “Whirling Surge”.

Did you finish the story on your 70 and unlock adventure mode for your other characters? If so, the starting quest will be available to you at Forkriver. If not, you have to play through the story and finish the line of quests in Ohn … probably best to look at Wowhead or something and see what one(s) you may be missing.

OK, no I guess I did not unlock adventure mode on the 70. I do not recall doing that, anyway.

OK thank you, I will figure out adventure mode on wowhead.

Yeesh, if I am reading this correctly, there is a great deal of questing, etc., I need to do on the 70, before unlocking that.

Yep. Basically you have to complete the main storyline quest to the end, and then on your alts you can start any zone you like, all of the zone start quests are open once the alt reaches the first base in Waking Shores. It’s beneficial to do once, probably, even if it’s not your thing, if you plan to do some alts.

I’m currently doing this on another guy.

He just got the breadcrumb “Into the Azure” and is heading over to Forkriver Crossing now.

Thing about this expansion is, levelling is so fast he’s about to hit level 66 and out of rested EXP. (he started this today at level 61)

Oh well, will be nice to the get the Dragonriding effect “Whirling Surge”!

Not sure how beneficial the last Dragon riding trait (Bronze Tmelock) is, but I’ll just have him complete the entire campaign and grab that too.

Just finished!

Took several hours at least but well worth it.

Whirling Surge (for me) is underwhelming, but Bronze Timelock will be fun to play around with.

I also haven’t really paid much attention to quests for last several expansions, but the Chromie timeline stuff was pretty cool.

Checked, and even though I’ve started every one of my guys (40+) already they have WQs available, so I guess Adventure Time IS retroactive, and this will open up additional EXP and quest rewards. I see a WQ on one of my other guys for a Trinket, which will be nice.

I would second the emotion that a player SHOULD definitely do the full campaign on one guy pretty early, as it opens up additional stuff and will help with levelling other guys.

But the first thing you should do is get all 6 bubbles in Dragonflying, of course.
(fly around and grab the 48 x gold ring things)

Merithra disappears right before you can select “Into the Azure” quest. How do I receive this quest?
