True: This is worse since it is 100% of the dps specs for the class, lol.
Truth in advertising on the title at least.

Unlikely they’ll do that but eh.
Not suggesting to be a full dps spec should they go that route with hero talents, it’ll be a dps healer spec of its own. Oracle I think is a bit more interesting than Archon but overall I don’t care about either of them.
My apologies for not clarifying that when I mentioned hero talents.
And once again, I’m gonna say no to reskins. On top of that I find Shadow’s playstyle atrocious. I’m just looking at which scenario is more likely to happen, for them to add a 4th spec they would need to create more hero talents supporting that format. I would love to have one though.
I would rather have a dps healer hero talent option for Holy giving it some firepower to its DPS rotation over slapping paint on Shadow and calling it a day. Considering the two options the spec has they can afford it.
As much as I am also thoroughly uninspired by current Holy hero trees (which is why my priest is benched this expac for the first time since I came back to serious endgame content), I am extremely doubtful they would do that. Holy is already pretty consistently the stronger DPS priest healing spec when able to find the casting time to favor DPS over healing.
We have no water.
Bad news guys, all we got to drink is water.
Same, just being hopeful.
To me it’s not a case of being stronger, I would just like more thematic DPS spells for it and to push for the spec I like playing. Outside of Smite, we only have Holy Fire and Chastise, using something like SW:D without the HP penalty while having some synergy to the spec would make it more enjoyable… at least for me.
At that point I mainly become concerned about button overload. I enjoyed Holy in late season DF when I could stack a few short CDs into whatever DPSing window I could find and blast out two or three Chastises through supercharged CDR on Holy Fire and Divine Smite, supported by every CDR-enhancing talent in the tree. It let me get off some nice burst by optimizing the slow healing spots in an encounter via a simple rotation. Add too many more rotational DPS buttons in there, and it could easily become too distracting from healing or too cumbersome to fit into smaller windows of opportunity.
That said, I have always found it backwards as hell that Discipline, the spec that mixes Holy and Shadow, gets Purge the Wicked, while Holy is still casting Shadow Words: Pain and Death.
There is no holy DPS caster because Shadow Priest does all it’s damage with shadow spells.
But Shadow Priest is still very holy themed because basically every spell they have that does anything other than damage is light themed.
There’s this neat little thing called nuance that you may want to study up on.
That’s understandable, that’s why I think they should push towards upgrading the current stuff and maybe add 1 new spell. Replace Smite with a new ability, give Sanctify the Acidic Rain treatment.
One of the reasons why I think the class design team is such a meme lol. What’s sad about PtW it was a reskinned Holy Fire spell. Regardless of Priest being capable of channeling Shadow magic, both SW:P and SW:D for Holy should be unique for the spec with its own bonuses. Of course, that just goes back to what I said about Blizzard doesn’t have a very good take on holy spells when it comes to the fantasy appeal of Priest. ![]()
With all 3 monk specs, you invoke a different guardian depending on the spec you are. A little consistency would be nice.
Is it weird that I want all the classes/specs anyone comes up with to be added to the game, along with all the other races and even more elves? And while they’re at it, gimme my dw BDK dps spec back. Also, “All classes for all races.”
They’ll likely be more interesting than what the hell Blizzard class devs can come up with, probably will be broken, but interesting.
