Used my boost to make a DI Elemental Shaman. Looking for guides on basically how to play outside of random button mashing. Got talents from wowhead, but again just looking for info on playing. Youtube links if possible (im visual versus ready theory)

I just don’t think this is true any more. The method I employ while leveling is vastly different than end game. Healing a leveling dungeon is entirely different than a normal difficulty raid in current content. And if someone levels through quests, there is no correlation between that and healing a M+ group. You don’t even have a full toolkit while leveling, so how can you learn to maximize your tools?
Well obviously it is as the op is asking people how to play shaman other than button mashing. Again this is what you learn while leveling. You learn a lot about the class/spec while leveling.
Isn’t there like a tutorial session that Boosted players can go through to learn just the elementary basics of the class? I would swear there is one.
There is. You are on a air ship and they show you the basics of what you can do. But that doesn’t teach you how to kite as a caster or other skills you would learn as you level.
You keep Flame Shock on the target and press Lava Burst and if you can’t use Lava Burst you use one of the really weak filler spells and die inside.
And for AoE you just die inside.
Maybe for class trial, but there is not for a boost. At least there wasn’t.
Ive been playing for most of the last 19 years. I just figured Id give Shaman a try. I have 8 (2 hunters, 1 Pally, DH, Spriest, Warlock, Warrior and Evoker) level 70’s. Ive done the level grind enough. This is just a class for messing around with until TWW. Most are so similar and comes down to rotations. So that’s what I was asking about mostly.
Shaman rotations are like a bowl of spaghetti you have something that looks like a rotation yet it does not just simply press 12345… it can go 179583461 just depends on what lights up and what is needed for any situation. If you need a good addon MaxDPS it shows you what buttons to press and in what order. It’s a good starter addon until you get familiar with how Shaman rotations go. Not trying to be mean or anything just stating facts here.

Shaman rotation is weird for ele and enhance. Basically, it’s a constant min max that you have to be aware of. You’ll want to keep dots and buffs active because your rotation is whatever spell or ability is most powerful in that moment. There isnt a lot of set up besides casting flame shock on as many enemies as possible. You’ll want to keep your earth shield and healing stream totem up as much as possible. Depending on your build, you’ll want to keep your dmg elemental up as much as possible too. Other than that, wait for lava burst’s instant cast to proc by casting lava burst and then lightning bolt until you build up earth shock. After using earth shock, be aware of what spell you want to cast next. If you’re maxing dmg, lightning bolt after earth shock is the way to go.
Lava burst boosts your next spell’s dmg by 20%, so try not to use 2 lava burst’s in a row unless you’re targets almost dead.
