Looking in the options i cannot find the box to check to se a players guild name in their nameplate … used to be there in old ui
so i need an addon for it now?
No it should still be there. I see everyone’s guild name.

Check under the part where you see other players names, it should be around there somewhere. I can see guild names fine.
Again … there is nowhere in options for seeing guild names anymore with the new UI. I understand that you can see them fine. That’s why I posted. You telling me that you can see them fine does not in any way help. Neither does telling me to look in options “somewhere”.
Can you see the player names at all? Or just player name but no guild name?
There’s a search bar in the new UI frame at the top.
I’d search either player, nameplate, guild etc…

Yes it is. Dude got mad because he can’t read his options. I don’t need therapy he does. And these are the wow forums. Nothing here matters. I went out of my way to try and help him when I didn’t have to and he got mad.

Except that you did not help at all. You trolled me and provided nothing but guesses.
You are the one who can’t read his options because you were at work. If you had … you would see that there is no option for it anymore. You have no information about the problem I am having so go sit down.
For those of you having the same problem, I had to download an addon called Guild In Tooltip.

For those of you who can see player’s guild names in tooltips, do you all have Elvui or some other UI addon installed? I wanted to run hc as bare as possible with little to no addons - I have looked everywhere for in-game options to see guild names on player’s tooltips and I also cannot find it.

Nah. Everyone else can see guild names. There’s definitely an option.
