I dont play in EM since Cataclysm, but I remember being a nice realm, full of people. Now, seems empty, no server is as empty as EM.
Some people there told me that is because of BFA and WM ? I would agree, insce EM is a very special case - RP and PvP server.
Moonguard suffered with classic in the beginning but now is fine again. Not the case for ED.
How can we save EM, still there a chance for it to recover ?

There’s plenty of RP events regularly scheduled with decent attendance. Which is pretty much why I’m here so that works for me.
As for the broader activities - I think we’ll see more life come back when there’s new content. I have yet to meet anyone happy with BFA on any level. Everything’s been a mess and between Classic and this truly absurd content draught alot of people are just disinterested in playing right now. I presume we’ll see an uptick in SL.
They need to remove warmode and sharding bulldung splitting a small community even further is BS

What I added in the Edit 
The server was great, (still great to some of us deluded folks)
I blame all the people that left the server crying about griefing instead of banning together to defeat the issue. The people who were too scared to pvp at an RP event because they did not have the imagination to incorporate the assault into their RP. Then I also blame all those that continue to pop over here to “fix” the place they abandoned in the first place, or that just pop over here to scream how it is dead here not realizing they are part of the reason it is on its last leg.
Then a major blow was warmode. Blizzard divided us even smaller. People refuse to turn it on or even RP with it on are another problem here. This is an RPPVP realm no matter what blizzard tries to make it, those that hide with it off are a huge part of the issue.
So after all that, I will say ED (and I hope that is what you were going for with EM otherwise I am ranting about nothing) is ED. Many of us here do have enough to do with many events each week, the community is small but active. Also unlike many realms the majority of the player base is still on classic, because its not screwed up with warmode and toys like live realms.
