Step 1: add more support specs
Step 2: remove the outdated dog party forming system that people just abuse to get boosted and be picky garbo
Step 3: replace dog party forming system with solo Q
Done
Now everyone can play without being declined and won’t lose their spot to a support spec, boosting is dead.
But ofc that won’t happen because boosting can’t die otherwise blizz won’t make money off pay to win tokens xd
Let the Aug abomination dies please no one likes them

Do we really want to add another role is the question?
I was never a fan myself. Supports tend to be as rare as healers.
sure would love to be forced to do keys with peeps who get stumped by LFR mechanics
Wouldn’t work anyway, everyone would simply move to third-party groupfinding tools, and go in as a 5x premade. With even easier linking to logs to see if they are worth inviting. While all the bottom-feeder dps continue to wail about how elitist that is during their 2 hour queue time.
I’d be down to see all kinds of new role options
Players have made it very clear that if the content is supposed to have a fail condition, they want the ability to pick the party.

Step 1: delete support specs and make aug a DPS spec that uses bronze and black magic to do damage with. Due to as shown until recently support specs break the game in absurd ways and leads to them literally needing to be canned to actually put them in check.
Step 2: admit that augmentation was a mistake given how hard it is to even track to truly know how much or little damage it’s really doing. Due to how it interacts with abilities, along with for a long time meant it was again absurdly broken because no one knew how much damage it was really doing.

whole lotta 2k io players in here under the impression Augmentation is why their BM hunter/ret paladin/destro warlock/generic non-meta class is being declined invites.
They aren’t going to magically invite you in the place of Aug. They’re going to bring Boomkins again… Spoiler alert, they’re bringing boomkins again.
Problem isn’t Aug. Th problem has always been Blizzards awful class design and balancing. Constantly reinventing the class/spec every patch while actually addressing none of the classes core issues.
I wanted a dragon tank, aug was a disappointment. I have a literal fire breathing dragon and it flops around in the back buffing the rogue?
Step 1: Don’t attempt to introduce a new role into a 20 year old game.
Step 2: There is no step 2.

610 queuing up for a +10 dying the moment a mob looks in their general area.
They’re going to invite the person with bigger number who also applied.

Said 610 player is effectively just doing a 14 or 15.

Delete it entirely. The guy who made it isn’t even at Blizzard anymore. And certainly nobody else wants to deal with it.

The game doesn’t need a 4th role that few people will be interested in playing. It’d just make queue times longer and make forming groups more frustrating.

If I were in charge or whatever, I would just remove Aug’s stat buffs or whatever it’s doing, the rebranded Blessing of Kings or whatever, then bring it’s damage up, then instead I would give it another interrupt on a separate CD, ranged. Then I would give it a smart mass dispel, so basically you dispel one person and it dispels the entire party automatically, no aiming anything and if there’s nothing to dispel it refreshes it’s CD.
That’s all I would do and see what happens.
