It’s huge now, is there a way to make it smaller?

Yeah as far as I know, it’s not possible currently, which seems like a bit of an oversight.
Also elements of it are a bit off center which drives me nuts with how I like to keep my minimap in the bottom center.
I like the new minimap. I can actually see it with my failing sight.
Same thing can be said about the XP bar, bag bar and micro bar. Also, the chat can barely be edited due to the way it’s laid out now. I have to have it at least half an inch from the edge of the screen now
Ack. I hope addons like MoveAnything, UberUI, etc. can be updated to help us recreate the UIs we’ve been used to before these changes. TBH the new UI edit mode is pretty limited and clumsy. I can’t believe that the devs didn’t take a good look at what the addons were able to do and try to emulate their best features and capabilities. Instead, we get this half-baked implementation, which, after a few hours working with it since the patch, I find woefully inadequate and terribly frustrating. It’s also very buggy, btw.
It does have some strong points though, like the frame snapping is something I’ve wanted for a long time and it’s nice to be able to toggle on a grid without an addon for just that.
My hope is that this is just a starting point and that we’ll see a lot of these gripes ironed out with time.
Check out an add-on called “MoveAndImprove (Prototype)”. I just found it tonight and I’m able to move more then I was with the default UI.
There’s a way -
/run Minimap:SetScale(1)
← default size
/run Minimap:SetScale(1.5)
← 50% bigger
/run Minimap:SetScale(0.5)
← 50% smaller
Thanks, your commands work!
However, the link returns a 404 error.
Hah amazing ,
Bartender4 is working fine for all your action bar needs.
Also I want SexyMap to work again, and below someone mentions how to resize the current map which I feel Blizz totally screwed up.
Why is this not part of the new UI then? Weird.
Currently the only way would be resize the whole ui in the graphics menu.
Thank you this helped a lot.
I think perhaps Blizzard doesn’t realise just how annoying unwanted minor UI changes can be - the only reason I don’t use Windows 11 and will likely switch to Linux if a good substitute isn’t found by 2025 is that it doesn’t support a vertical taskbar on the left or right side of the monitor
