With the price of Slum Sharks at an all time high, nothing feels worse than finding a Blood in the Water Pool and pulling a series of Cursed Ghoulfish. What techniques are there to reduce the odds of catching them? Is it a higher fishing skill? Lower? Something to do with Perception? Any items?
Since the ghoulfish is rare, removing perception should lower your chance of it
Isn’t there a fish that you can throw back that keeps the ghoul fish away?
That fish unfortunately doesn’t prevent it, as the tooltip may suggest.
I meant Regal Dottyback.
I’ll try again but I’ve definitely still caught ghoulfish with that buff active.
This may be silly, but what does the Ghoulfish even do? It just seems like a 15 perception buff. when used. It has the flavor of being bad, but it doesn’t give me a debuff or anything.
You can filet five of them to make a food that boosts you fishing skill and perception.
But keeping them in my bags isn’t a problem? I’ve always ignored it because I seem to fish just fine.
I think most peoples grievance with them is that they take the place of a slum shark in a bloody pool. There is only so much fish you can get out of those pools before they run out.
They need a thing like they had in DF to restore the fishing pools. I’m not into fishing but my friends that fish were super disappointed that they didn’t carry forward some of the fun things from DF
