How to play Subtlety Rogue in PVP

Just started a Sub Rogue a couple of weeks ago got to level 50 and am looking for some tips for tactics in PVP.

My current tactics are to engage stealth and toggle through enemies to find one thats badly hurt then 1) shadow step, 2) use Symbols of death, 3) Use shadowstrike 2-3 times (from talent), then Eviscerate 4) Then Shadow dance to do more shadowstrikes.

I am doing okay but not great I was wondering what other abilities I should incorporate or tactics I should use with a sub rogue.

Also I have a bad habit with adrenaline to spam ability macros before I have the needed energy and am trying to break the habit to use composure to select the perfect ability to use based on the situation. Is slow methodical choices better then spamming macros?

Finally what other abilities a level 50 Rogue should I use? I never use kidney shot or blind should I be using these and any other tips for sub Rogue PVP?

what the heck

I’m not entirely sure if this post is trolling or not. Well played, I’m bamboozled.

You might want to check more in the Rogue class forums, or some other websites that have class guides.

I don’t really play the rogue class, so I can’t give you detailed advice, but in general you want to be using your abilities that stun and crowd-control your enemies in order to disrupt and frustrate them, and keep their healers killed or locked-down. As a rogue, and I imagine especially as a Sub rogue, you can have an disproportionate impact on many situations (thinking of those times when you see 4-5 people searching for the sap-happy stealthed rogue). You can be really good at returning flags and ninja-capping nodes.

You can also use those abilities to help your own healers and other teammates by peeling off any enemies that are focusing them. Even a quick stun or snare can give someone the couple steps they need to get away or cast a heal.

So keep looking at your toolkit and thinking about how you can use each ability in different situations to control your opponents, help your teammates, and set up kills. For every ability, there will be a clutch time when you can use it to gain an advantage.

The instinct of isolating and picking off the weak enemies is probably good, but you want to be able to win games for your team, which sometimes means focusing on objectives and countering your opponents’ strengths, as well as exploiting their weaknesses. Especially in PuG’s, a smart rogue or two can really create problems for the opposing team.
