so first gates open and then you die
honestly i dont even know what the abilities do or the rotation. First time playing sham used my BFA free boost
enhancement shaman has zero survivability and doesnt do near the dps that elemental does.my advice is to try ele or stay your dk for melee.
enhacnements rotation is horrid everything is on a recharge or a cd.i switched from enhancement to ele and am enjoying my shaman a whole lot more.
Depending on Azerite Traits this can change, but I will do my best to explain a general rotation. Start with your flametongue, then double rockbiter, and storm strike on cooldown. This is your basic rotation. When ready to burst pop wolves, use Sundering for the stun and dmg, and drop all storm strikes (hopefully you have some extra proc’d.)
Use Lava Lash as a maelstrom dump or if you are spec’d into it on proc.
This is the basic rotation for enh in pvp. Use all other utility abilities where they fit in. It is important to note as others have said Enhancement is not in a great place. Their survivability is pretty awful.
I really love my Enh but this is sadly true. The spec really needs some defensive/healing love. Would love to see Lightning Lasso on Enh one day.
I find the Primal Primer/Lava Lash build more enjoyable than the standard Stormstrike build.
yeah but its really bad in pvp, primal primer being cut in half just makes it useless and way too rng since hot hand hardly procs
It’s weird though, in spite of the trait nerfs it seems like my PVP burst is still better with PP build (anecdotally speaking). I have played around with stacking Strength of Earth & Roiling Storm, then switched to Primal Primer & Natural Harmony and I seem to kill targets faster.
It could be all perception though, because getting Hot Hand procs along with Stormbringer procs seems like I’m always pressing something.
If you can get yourself a pet healer then you’ll have a much better time - you have some good damage and decent utility (even if other specs do it better). Think of yourself as a rogue without your defensive cooldowns and try to avoid group fights unless you’re picking off people and its safe to do so.
if you really enjoy it then keep playing it
one thing i’ve done is keeping an eye on the bloodmallet .com page for traits- carrying a stack of the higher “1st stack” traits while stacking primer helps put some ummph in the hits. it makes for a more well rounded build using all the element buffs/procs.
Agreed. I usually check Bloodmallet and Herodamage a few times a few times per week to check for changes. I really enjoy the Primal Primer build (Hot Hand, Totem Mastery, Hailstorm, Sundering, & Elemental Spirits). I have 3 x PP, 2 x Natural harmony, and 1 Treacherous Covenant. It feels smoother than when I was using 3 x Strength of Earth with Boulderfist, Landslide, and Earthen Spike (my previous favorite). I enjoy LL actually doing damage, instead of just being a maelstrom dump.
Sure, no problem.
Pray for stombringer procs.
Thats it.
